I'm glad that the council of state supports the policy, however, to allay their concerns let CBN pump the N100, N50, N20 naira notes which are not redesined and other smaller denominations into the economy. The masses don't need the larger denominations they just need money to run their daily transactions and the smaller denominations will serve that purpose. If they truly care about the masses.
The Elites and Politicians are they ones routing for the larger denominations and old notes.
Yes, theirs truly hardship caused by naira redesign, if CBN has released those smaller denominations earlier we may not have been in the cash crisis we have.

Where is the masses in their equation? None. Though, I am not surprised because I know how the world really work.

Those who have billions of old Naira notes at home should deposit it at the CBN.
CBN can not print more money while over 900 billion old Naira notes are in the houses of politicians.
That is why the deadline is important to force them to deposit the old notes, except it is stolen money.
Nigerians say NO to vote buying.
This drama will be over one day after the presidential election.
If politicians are telling you to go and protest, tell them to send their children.
Don't be a cannon fodder for their greed.
They are the same people mopping up new notes for vote buying, thus depriving the masses the little they have in the banks .

I think what the Government of the day need to do, Is to print more of the redesign Naira notes. The ones already printed, should be widely circulated. Then after the General Elections, more prints can be carried out. Bravo to Mr President and the Governor of the Central Bank, for this sound economic decision for now. Those fighting against it, is without doubt, are those Nigerians with sinister motives. Shame to those Governors, who abandon the provision of adequate security of lives and property, only to hurry to file action against the Government for the redesign of the Naira notes.

Printing more money is an advantage to our corrupt politicians, who will still carry that money back to their houses. Where is the money printed to so far, the CBN should find a way of knowing where those new monies printed are kept. Some of the new monies printed so far are now in the huz of this governors and senators who are interested in stealing public money. The CBN should not print more money. Nigerians should go cashless, with time this is going to stop corruption and also stop stocking of currency at home by the politicians and the governors, at least by 60%.

If at all the CBN is to buy into the advice of recirculating the old notes in the mean time, it should be the lowest of the denominations (N200). The higher notes, N500 and N1000, should be banned because those hoarding the currencies usually use them.
