Start art career in a small place, otherwise you won't have time to create art - Antoine Waterkeyn

Antoine Waterkeyn is an artist live in Bruxelles. In Centrale contemporary art center he has an exhibition about a narrative construction, a theatre play just before the play starts. Antoine plays here with cultural references from books, theatre and construct a space of figures which has an open interpretation to the public.
We discussed about Bulgakov and Victor Hugo, but also to avoid kitsch and let the viewer decide on several interpretations. We also discussed why it is better to start art career in a smaller place and not in big centers like New York.
Antoine recently received the Best Young Belgian Artist prize.
