This has really helped me a lot to use existing AI Roads to race against other cars (CTRL/L then AI Random). However I find it very difficult to make an AI Road for Bathurst for example. This is because to get the whole track in view to create the Road means viewing from a great height and then everything is too small to map the road easily. Is there a way to create many smaller sections for a track and then merge them into one complete one. It is really frustrating trying to follow an excellent tutorial like this about something basic and simple but when I follow it nothing is the same for me. For example I do not get any visible node markers which makes a bit of a mockery of the whole thing. No node markers makes it almost impossible to alter an existing Decal Road.
how to make this for bridges? i cant seem to overlap 2 paths without cars trying to jump off the bridge :/ to get on the road that goes under the bridge
Ok but can you make that road wider or make an 3 lane one direction road? Im asking because i want to create a custom road on daytona oval but i want ai to change lanes randomly. Also can you make ai go as fast as possible? Because most of the tines ai is slower then you even if its in the same kind of car
It generally works but I have one problem. In a piece across the map, the road just doesn't work. You can see the texture but you can't see the road on the map and AI doesn't work there. How to fix it?
It is harder for a big track, but I think that main thing is to take your time and not try to rush through laying down the AI roads. BeamNG modding (maps, vehicles, or otherwise) is not a quick, easy process by any means. But, it is definitely worth the time it takes if you put in the effort. :-)
yep ive noticed everything seems difficult lol. is it possible to move the camera on areiel view to see more of the road while still holding alt to paint the road im trying to do this on a big point to point mod map n its immpossible
Great video, but is it possible to put two roads next to each other in order to simulate an over take for the ai? Since there's no racing ai available for tracks
David, you must have read my mind - I was just waiting for a tutorial just like this for AI vehicles. Excellent as ever - thank you!!
You are seriously one of the best person making advanced BeamNG tutorials!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have been looking for a tutorial on this topic so long. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
looks cool, does the setting have to be random or will start traffic work to
Another top tutorial I'm working on a beam ng tornado this could come in handy to :)
thank you for the tutorial sir.. your tutorial vids are always easy to follow 🙏
Great vid! Can you make a tutorial how to add crosswalks and make AI stop in front of them?

For me I just like to map it out myself while driving and do it a few times. I feel that it’s a lot better.
Thank you you improve my skills on beam
Happy to help!
After I create a road and save the level, I cannot seem to select the path afterwards? The path seems to disappear whenever I click off it.
Is there a way to make the AI roads invisible, so that only the normal roads are the ones you see?
I would like to use tutorials like this one to make some AI for race tracks, but I don't want to paint over the existing roads in the map
Wow thank you, now I can make a race track ai layout in beamng
THANK you so much 👍😊

You the best teacher beaming mapping!
When I go into editor it won’t show the decal road editor and I can’t find it it also says it’s in safe mode so idk I’m new
Really cool man!
How do u stop it from going under the track

I need to play around, duplicate the problem and see if i can find a fix, though you probably found one by now.

Finally, I Able To Create Custom AI Route..
do that work on the monster truck?
I think the AI system works with any vehicle 😊
Thanks
It worked
It doesnt work, The AI says it has no roads. Maybe it's because it has not a "road / asphalt" decal? Thanks
