Yeah it's great around here. The LX3 is a great camera. The lens is excellent and the 24mm focal length allows for some great scenes. I didn't get a case for it, I just keep it in my bag.
Really depends on what you need. I've never used the TZ7, but I don't think it has the amount of manual control that the LX3 has. The TZ7 is probably a better "point and shoot", where as if you prefer to have the ability for more control, the LX3 is the better choice.
Hey, have you tried out "Reveal Travel Deal" (just do a Google search for it...)? I have come across some ridiculously inexpensive hotels and even plane tickets. This can let you spend less on your future getaway also.
@chemiealex Yeah we very rarely have snow and this was probably the worst we have had in over ten years. Over the past few years though we seem to get one heavy downfall a year which only lasts a day or two.
