As a Vikings fan, I've been hurt so many times for believing in my team, that I'm deliberately choosing cautious optimism instead of hope. I recognize the season we're having, but I also recognize that this is my Minnesota Vikings, and they snatch defeat from the jaws of victory better than any franchise in any sport

    • @usa91787
      @usa91787 4 дня назад +3

Yeah, and there is this tendency to over celebrate here.
The Gophers making the Final Four got a parade.
      Then it was over.
The Minnesota Miracle was the Minnesota collapse that took a miracle to win.
Everyone acted like they just won the Super Bowl. Only the confetti was missing.
Then the next week against a Philadelphia team they should have beaten to play in the Super Bowl at home they choked big time.
And having watched every Super Bowl loss - I'm with you.
This year the trap is they actually win the division at home then they get the bye.
The Vikings lose after the Bye and the Lions go to the Super Bowl to play Buffalo.

@@usa91787 Actually it's Detroit who has the biggest monkey on their back. They haven't even been to a Super Bowl. Both Philly is tough and the Rams know how to get there. Just enjoy the ride. It's got to be better than losing.

@@DupedDeluxe well we have some good depth on D , Remember Bo Richter was in the rotation and made the tackle for no gain on the Bears first 4th down attempt. I like this guy, he has a good motor and he’s as wide as a house. But the Bears only score came off a blocked punt and it was a 4th down play, so basically a garbage TD.

Sammy Dimes had a great game even though his QB rating was just 74.1. If Jefferson doesn't drop that easy TD and KOC kicks the FG instead of going for it on 4th down and forcing Sammy to throw it up for grabs on the INT, he woulda had over 100 QB Rating!

I know. As a Raiders fan I've watched Derek "Junk" Carr throw the ball away and spike it on 4th down just so he can protect his stats. He's the biggest gutIess QB in NFL history! So I love QBs like Sammy who don't give a F and just slings it down the field.

i actually have a bail out for that int,
he was doing a 4th down conversion, and int or catch,
both pushes the starting line for the opponent offense back a little bit,
one of the worst case scenario for a 4th down conversion is a sack or a pass incomplete

  • @evanjohnson1299

With the pick, the ideal outcome is a complete pass for a 1rst down. Sam was about to get sacked and an incomplete is a turnover to so that int was essentially a punt the best outcome from an unfortunate play

Sam I Am was holding the ball and looking around way too much last night.
He does way better with rhythm and timing than with scanning the field.
The 5 td game is a prime example.
He misses the open mid range receivers a lot because he either throws deep or throws short.
Unless Jefferson is the midrange guy.
