Just bought one and it looks good. Mast is too long for the car ,so I will get rid of the top section and go a square top . & I put too much goop on the gubbins to waterproof ,so had no control and ended in the weeds. But a local lad swam it, and I was able to clean up pondside ,and fine now back at the house. Try again soon ! 😎😎😎😎😎
Been contemplating whether to by this... Does it tend to nose dive? Also was wondering if it handles around 25 knot winds without drowning every component inside the hull, How watertight? Is the mast and base just cheap plastic etc ? Cheers mate from Western Australia.. great vid!
Thanks, So far all looks fine and the boat remains dry however it does round up in stronger winds which is good the camera is a gopro 9 and does not require an external case as mr gopro say they're 100% waterproof to 10 meters so not far fine. No nose diving at all I think because it's a bigger/wider boat where my df65 is always nose diving. This is an older version that was given to me sails are old and stretched so will make some new ones at some stage... Overall I like the boat and may even buy a new one... 🙂

I just got my Voluntex Compass 65 out on the water. I have my eye on a Hurricane. Great piece of kit for the money this.

You can see how the gopro9 is attached to rear of the boat in on shore camera shots it's just stuck on with the double sided tape mount

Ha ha sure is it's a very old boat that was given to me does not sail good at all 🙂
