im thinking of remaking knife fight. Also thinking of remaking Chaos battlegrounds which was my first devlog. Im also thinking of just making a completely new fighting game altogether. IDK ANYMORE AHHHHHHHHHH

You learn by continuously scripting. I would avoid tutorials where u blindly copy what someone else writes and instead, use devforum, try and understand why something works and never settle for code that “functions properly”. Always try and improve the readability and optimisations of your code.

Raycast hitboxing should only be used when you’re trying to make very realistic hitboxes. The best way to make an accurate hitbox is using client sided hitboxes. I personally use getbartsboundinbox and then send the people hit to the server
@@tate123-hc4ni where the hit detection is ran on the client. I wouldnt attempt recreating this system if you’re new as it is very easy to mess up. Just keep scripting. Eventually you’ll just naturally understand the benefits if the system
Realistically, you could just use .Touched hitboxes and weld a part to your character but that uses a lot more server resources and the hitboxes wont be as accurate especially add high velocity or high ping
