The problem with comparing the CIS and the rebellion is that the rebellion wasn’t hell bent on having their military commit war crimes in fact the most one could argue as a war crime was the destruction of both Death Stars but the problem with that is that they were both military targets that the empire intentionally involved civilians with. Meanwhile it’s rare to find a battle where a war crime isn’t committed in the clone wars but the only difference between the republic and the CIS is that until order 66 the most the republic would do is violate the use of the white flag by falsely surrendering. Meanwhile the CIS kept intentionally involving civilians often using them as hostages many of their allies would feign neutrality while heavily favoring the the CIS and at one point they even attempted to commit biological warfare! The worst part is that the systems backing the CIS IGNORED the war crimes!
Actually, the majority CIS had no idea about 'war crimes' (being there is no such thing in Star Wars) being they just let Dooku run the military, the CIS just wanted to leave a corrupt political system that had clearly failed. Also, the Republic has also committed 'war crimes' as well, such as when Rex shot an Umbarran who was clearly no threat and injured after his tank was destroyed during the Siege of Umbarra. What we see in the clone wars was the actions of the military that kept things from the Senator's of the CIS. Only a select few (the CIS leaders you see in ROTS) actually sanctioned and really knew about these 'war crimes'; keep in mind most of them where corrupt and had no value for life, so long as the credits kept flowing. I would also like to point out, the majority of the time we see things from the Republic's perspective, meaning we are already biased towards the Republic. While the CIS did commit 'war crimes' for the most part the leaders of the CIS where ethical and just wanted a better lot for their people. As for the biological warfare, the Blue Shadow virus would only target a certain gene in the clones, meaning the general populace would be unaffected with only military targets being at risk. The only reason it kills non-clones in the Clone wars episode was because the virus was incomplete. I would also like to draw attention to the fact that the droid army was far more ethical being these non-living things were usually the only casualties. Meanwhile the Republic used slave soldiers that were forced to fight for a cause some of them didn't really believe in. Droids could also be rebuilt meaning if they were scrapped, if they were recovered they would be rebuilt, if a clone gets shot... well, they are probably not going to be 'rebuilt'. The Republic was also terrible to most of their citizens, the people would often not get proper representation and would live in terrible conditions, just look at Coruscant. Only the upper levels are actually decent.
@@The_Dork_Lord my point that the republic’s war crimes were few and far between and also nowhere in the episode featuring the virus did it mention that it would only target the clones especially because some of the revived virus was released in a river in the swamps of Naboo also why use a mad scientist to develop it who can go rouge unless it’s their plan to release the virus as it was?
Perhaps Palpatine threw Mace out of the window, so that he could have a high ground compared to him. Also, I knew that droid at 0:32 reminded me of Grievous.

People making those memes about how the confederate alliance and freedom alliance are not understanding the means behind each plot. There are some key differences that separate the two. That being said, so long as the separatists stuck to political ideals and did not ally with the sith they could have gotten their way
you could've warned that there would be spoilers for the book of boba fett. I haven't seen a single episode, then agin it's my fault for clicking on a star wars memes video
