The 2JZ, especially the non turbo ones can be found in normal big sedans, it wasn't designed to make 100hp per litre NA. Unlike the S52 powering the M3.

In my opinion this was an un-fair test. The Supra was the N/A 5 speed model which is not comparable to the M3 in terms of price and performance. I would be interested to see a re-race with the Rz Supra.
