@@ameerordimly1449 I was referring to the hits on you tube meaning views. For a band of such stature I would have expected at least 5 figures or probably 6, hence my conclusion it was a hidden gem.. Hope that makes sense.
@@pmadamson oh..VIEWS Anyway.. Silver Wilburys isnt a band... just a label put on this vid... Its just a one off gathering where Taj's band were joined by the others... Just having a good time.
@@ameerordimly1449 Thanks for that. That makes sense. Interesting that the Beatles were called The Silver Beatles at one point so it all ties in I think. Either way I still can't understand why this particular gig is not common knowledge. Thanks for getting back. Since watching this I have found a few bootlegs of this gig and am surprised it was not included in The Travelling Wilburys official box set compilation or digipac. I suppose ownership of the recordings plays a part as is often the case
George and Leon backed up Dylan at Bangladesh then Leon produced the single record of this tune in '71 with Russell, Jesse Ed Davis, Carl Radle and Keltner as his backing band. Great lineup!!
What a treat. I've always been haunted by the great slide blues guitar on the original River Flow. Only recently found out it was Jesse Ed Davis. Some of the great riffs stay with you for life.
I was in the crowd that night. I sang onstage most Thursdays for a couple of years. Used some of the band to record a country demo album. I could never get Nashville to bite. Oh, the life of a B movie star. Barry Hickey...
When a blues song that’s not strictly 12 bar becomes 12 bar cos the band don’t know it… happens regularly at bar gigs… and when Bob Dylan arrives… Great to see Bob having fun and really smiling at George…
Can you imagine dropping in to hear Taj and seeing Dylan, George Harrison and John Fogarty on stage!
What a gem. I didn't even know The Silver Wilbury's existed until this upload. Looking at the hits it looks like an official hidden gem.
Looking at the hits?
What are u talking about?
Is there more vids from this night?
Where?

Jesse Ed Davies and of course Bobby played on the original recording -- nice to see that on stage - George and Bobby having a fun time!

Too tuned in to tune up. We've been there. Amazing clip
My best friend and I were there. It was mind blowing.
Excellent!
If you could get a hold a this on a CD, it would be like owning a piece a history.....
All recorded music is history
I have this on CD. Though it’s rough, loose, not polished.
Fantastic!

Know your song well before you start singing.
As awful as Bob Dylan has managed to sound at times, I've never heard him sound like such s***!
