The gate valve is not sub par and cost more than the ball valve. A ball valve has a longer handle that can get caught on clothing when working in between pots. Glad to hear you own 2 of our pits. Did you ever get the racks replaced? I know you where looking for new ones back in 2019

You cheaped out with the gate valve.It needs a ball valve.Don't say it's the best w sub par materials.Fyi ,I own 2 of your pits.
