I've spent over a year isolated and found myself hating everyone and everything including myself. I tried to end it a couple times then met some sweet girl but I didn't even want her at first. I convinced myself I don't want or need love. I've abandoned all my friends and family and I know without love all there is, is hurt. I hope I can fix myself but letting myself feel has reminded me that those around me feel too.
I know this is old but I've felt the same way and done the same thing, thought I got rid of the one and eventually, I just started doing little practices to better myself step by step, put myself out there, got a better job, and met a really great girl. Things aren't perfect but it's become much more bearable. Life can change so much in such a small amount of time, even if it's been the same for years. Don't forget that.
I'm just a stranger on the internet, but I assure you, you're not the only one that's felt this way. Isolation is sacred when it's needed to recharge. It can be toxic when we're doing it out of spite. Take it from someone who used to push everyone away, eat and snort too many pills....stare too long into the darkness and you'll see someone/something looking back at you. It looks a lot like you, but is wrong and horrible. Like staring into your bathroom mirror at night. A dark, misshapen version of your self, the version that kept walking down a lonely and spiteful path. Things only get better when you allow yourself to be better. It takes changing of habits. Changing of social circles. Job. Whatever. Get rid of it all if you have to. But allow yourself to let go of the things that burden your spirit. Learn to accept good people in your life. I promise no matter what happened in the past you deserve love just like the rest of us fuck ups. Everyone gets a second/third/fourth chance. But you gotta put the effort in. 🖤

I wasn’t my best me and I have no one to blame other than myself but this song makes me seek out forgiveness from myself. Although that person has been very kind and compassionate, I wish her all the best and much more and I’m grateful to have learned from her and to now know to not repeat the same mistakes.
