The way both Mehmet deads hurt me the most. Hürrem's Mehmet and Kosem's Mehmet. Hürrem's Mehmet was an innocent soul, while Kosem's Mehmet, though he displayed jealousy and was impulsive he still believed in Osma's promise.

I've searched up about him on wiki and other sources, and they indicate that he lived a life far away from Ottoman politics.Also, there's no clear mentioning of him being the lost son of Safiye (or, rather who was "given up"). While he dies young in this drama, the actual person lives and dies at a good old age in history. Nevertheless, it was interesting watching the fictional intrigue. Imagine Iskender ascending the throne and exiling Kosem (or possibly killing her and all her breeds); the Ottoman history would've been much different (but since,there was Safiye, a powerful woman figure chasing power like Kosem , perhaps the Sultanate of Woman would have taken an even more stronger or weaker position, who knows)
I stopped watching for the meantime but as far as I remembered, Zulfikar killed Iskender right?? Why Iskender is still alive in this episode? I'm so confused 😭
@@juvymirasol Iskender was spared his life at that time. We're shown a flashback of how Zulfiker hesitated to kill him out of love for his almost son like man he had grown to love over the years. Zulfiker successfully hides the secrecy of the younger man being let out alive. However, in the later episodes, Zulf has a change of mind because he's torn in between loyalty to Kosem (the wife of his beloved master Sultan Ahmed to whom he has sworn loyalty with life which means he's bound to serve Kosem) and love for Iskender. Loyalty wins and he leads Iskender to a death trap.
That's the problem of sultan having bed to all woman and have a sons. Later on they killed it's other. Everybidy is hungry in throne even the mother of a boy who is in line to throne. Pity the children. Too much pleasure of sultan in bed.

Literally ahmet saw safiye tryimg to dethrone him many times with mustafa, he also tried to execute him but never did it and then he locked him in a room because he must do something to protect his throne. Then he also unlocked mustafa he did all that but never killed him. But osman didn't even think once and killed mehmet at least he should have learned something from his father.

Actually he was said to be like her: temperamental, not so talented, but too entitled. Blaming others for his failure. Also, unlike series his mother Mahfiruze was alive, but he had her put in Eski Sarayi where she died in a raid against Safiye, not Ahmed. He kept Kosem at arm's length, but tried to keep good relations with her. Still had her son executed though.
Iskender would have the opportunity to run away and live a normal life but he changed to try to acsend to the throne. He became ambitious and cruel. Also the throne wasn't his right because sultan Ahmed had other children.

yes he did with his constant jealous and contempt for Osman led this. he made himself Osman's rival constantly trying to undermine and upstage him privately and publicly. He threw hurtful words at Osman often, he did spiteful things destroying his calligraphy and so on. He paved the way for this end and Kosem's actions cemented the doubt that Mehmet's years of behavior had showed Osman. That he was not one of them, that he was not trusted , loved and protected.

When Osman was talking to Mehmet before killing him, he gave psychopath vibes. And then they say Mustafa is the mad one! Yes as this series goes on the more I understand why Hurrem did it, though initially I thought Hurrem was heartless and that if she hadn’t plotted against Mustafa then all her sons might have lived. But it really was a cruel time where mothers knew they were fighting for their sons’ lives constantly :( I didn’t fully get that when I initially watched the Hurrem series.

After Ahmet's death the show has become so toxic, even good ppl like Iskender and Osman turned bad. Shows how pure Ahmet was compared to all the Sultans. Battlewise and in terms of power Suleiman is best in MC series, but in terms of being a good person among the Sultans Ahmet is the best in the series. Sadly none of his sons were like him. Murat was a decent ruler but had no mercy. Other sons neither had mercy nor were a good ruler, no wonder Kosem had to interfere.
When you chase power, you loose the innocence first. Like Bulbul said years ago to Kosem when Handan sultan still alive. And it becoming real when Osman chase power. Like Kosem give Fahriye to Ahmed.

Good plot twist at the end. At least Safiye and Halime were using each other and Kosem is smart and used them against each other. Was sad at first to think Zullficar had betrayed his promises. Sad to see Iskandir ( a fictionalized person per this show) turned so messed up but they could not alter history that much to make him reign. I did not even like seeing that they had Mehmet being her first born because I know he got executed, eventually. Looks like they brought in a change of some new music, too. Sad to see Osmond turn into such a depraved soul.
Politics is like that only, in every era, in every country. This was 'Sultanate of Women', started with Haseki Hürrem Sultan, ended with Valide Turhan Sultan.

After Ahmet's death the show has become so toxic, even good ppl like Iskender and Osman turned bad. Shows how pure Ahmet was compared to all the Sultans. Battlewise and in terms of power Suleiman is best in MC series, but in terms of being a good person among the Sultans Ahmet is the best in the series. Sadly none of his sons were like him. Murat was a decent ruler but had no mercy. Other sons neither had mercy nor were a good ruler, no wonder Kosem had to interfere.
