Johnny sameface needs a story hook for people to get into on the main roster. The NXT stuff was great, they havent given fans a reason to give a shit about him on the main roster.
Im a Gargano fan, his NXT run is legit some of my favorite wrestling ever, his takeover matches and feuds are infinitely rewatchable… but the sameface gag is 100% legit and once you notice it you cant unsee it. lol I still root for Johnny and Ciampa to find success on the main roster but they havent cracked the code on getting them over to that audience.
