    I bought a brand new 1972 Norton Commando with a combat engine in it for $ 1960.00 dollars,with a front disc brake, for an extra $160. Still have some of the vintage adds! Zero to 60 mph in 4 secs. 65 hp , dry wieght 385 lbs. Bike handled extremely well. Also had a 1967 Atlas with featherbed frame that I thought even handled better! I was 21 yrs. old!

    That's a nifty trick getting water in the oil on an air-cooled bike.
    Beautiful work though.

    What a fantastic choice of music!!!!! Great video. The timing of the con rod dropping and pinging went perfectly with the song. Lol. I'm a triumph guy but it looks like Norton makes some superior parts. Sounds great,awesome reaction.

      Norton quality was far superior to both Triumph and BSA. I owned a 750 JPS Commando and an 850 Interstate - both were superb bikes.

    Great video. I would have liked if the diashow would have been a bit slower. I watched it with 0,5x speed.

    Amazing that you can still get parts! I had a Commando the the needed Whitworth wrenches. 19 inch rear tires can be a challenge to find.

    I am a huge fan of your youtube channel! The way you approach the restaurations of motorcycles inspires me. But I have fear to disassemble my indian 741..also to a lack of mechanical experience on working on motorcycles..and the missing of the correct tools for the job..

    To sa dobre opravuje napr. v Anglicku, ak sa ešte vyrábajú nové náhradní diely. V Československu po roku 1975 sa už nedalo v republike nič na Norton kúpiť, na Západ sme chodiť na nákupy nemohli a tak sme si vyrábali alebo prispôsobovali súčiastky z áut, kombajnov a pod. Takže napr. Norton ES2 500 bol vlastne prerobený manuálne z vlastných zdrojov súčiastok.

    Hi Loscar, I own a 750 Commando Roadster since 1977, just finished the restoration here in Italy. I admire and thank you for the video of your job, I wish I had seen it before! May I ask you how many hours did it take you to complete the job? Was it difficult to find the parts? Thank you and congratulations!

    How do you make the head looking nice? Did you sandblasted and then clear coated?

    • @LoscarMotorcycles
      @LoscarMotorcycles  4 года назад

      Cleaning is done only with a stream of glass pearls.I never put clear coatings and especially on hot parts. Thanks for watching my videos. Loscar

    10:28 Left and Right... "Boanerges" sons of Thunder. Mark 3:17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means "sons of thunder"). La música es simplemente la derecha & izquierda fittage para la época.
