Fibreglass can be repaired as good as new or almost. Polyethylene is really resilient but not easily repairable. In my view just like the intake grate design, they want you to spend money if you go near rocks or any imperfections. Rotomolding is quicker to manufacture and lighter too so it is good for their business not necessarily their customer experience
I'm interested to see how the aftermarket can tune this new engine and get some improvements to its top speed and overall performance. Heck my 2015 GTI 155 will hit 55 mph all day and i am a big guy.

I pity the person who tries to ski behind this, you'll get dragged through the water for what seems like forever, also if you really start pulling, you would slow down the seadoo or if you pull to feel your form on the outside of the wake, you might tip the seadoo over

((ONE THING HE FORGOT TO MENTION)) these are pre production models that have rev limiters, so that is why they seem so slow, Kevin Shaw from the Watercraft Journal mentioned this, plus people are angry about the plastic hull, dont be, form molded parts means panels can be replaced, also fiberglass has limits when it comes to shapes, plastic has no limits on shapes and designs. Plus fiberglass patches are never as resilient or as the new plastic panels, hull integrity is maintained and has no weak points.

Kaden Jason I don’t think seadoos are much harder to work on, but I do find them much more luxurious. And these models aren’t for speed but the higher end models have all sorts of things that do make them faster than Yamaha. Yes it’s cheaper to make a Yamaha faster but that’s because it’s a lower performance 4cyl engine. Sea-Doo uses real high performance 3cyl engines so they’re already pushing those smaller engines to even compare to Yamahas bigger engines
what seadoo is not telling anyone is that you can buy a plug-in module that gives anyone of their new skies the exact features the wake ski has. I bought the module at the same time my son bought his fish pro. just ask at any of the seadoo dealers for the module, oh by the way the fish pro makes a great wake with its extra rear platform with a fat-sac or a full cooler with a passenger.
Are they getting better? Seems like the Yamaha's seem to be more durable and last longer. I mean, talk to any beach rental company and they are using Yamahas, for a reason... durability. Also, does Seadoo that can do faster speeds? The Yamaha's hit 70+.
@Minnesota Prepper That's because you riding a supercharged ski. I commonly get about 80-100 miles per tank with a mix of riding styles. Also, from my point of view, this new "more powerful" ski gets you lower MPH and less storage.

problem is, in Sydney , Australia, they are banned from most waterways because of the idiots that use them, even restricted waterways they can still be trouble. There is even a dedicated complaints phone line specifically for jetski people. So no, not better than a boat for those reasons.

The audio shouldn't be clipping. Do yourself a favor and bring the audio down significantly, normalize the audio, add a small amount of compression and delay if you want. But the audio needs to not spike so much.
I'll take fiberglass over plastic any day because I've got 20 years experience building fiberglass boats, easily repaired if you know what you're doing
My Kawasaki Ultra LX does the same speed. While my ski is not supercharged, the Sea Doos that are also not supercharged can't keep up. Also, stick with fiberglass hull. The strength and added weight provide a better, more stable ride in rougher waters. I could tell a huge difference when I rode a Spark. These review videos are nice but ever notice the water is always calm? Very rarely are riding conditions as nice and calm as this video. Kawasaki offers more bow storage and larger fuel capacity. While I agree Sea Doo has nice features, you're paying for features you don't need like iBR. BTW, for the non-experienced, you can ski/tube/wakeboard behind any PWC, it doesn't have to be a Wake model if your budget is a little tight.
Wow I have a fresh 98 gti and have been thinking about upgrading, so off to the sea doo site. Where are the jet boats where is the variety? I see 6 models in all and all ugly and black matt finish, the sun is going to brittle and bleach this stuff in no time, thanks but no sale.

Why does there have to be 100 settings for how different the throttle reacts, use your damn fingers. The STX-15F can still blow this out of the water and will last 10 years longer
those plastic hulls of sea-doo are shit, me and a mate hit each other at the start of this year. he was on a spark and I was on a waverunner. only damage to the waverunner was some scratches on the sponson and a sore gf as she went flying. as for the spark it smashed the side of the hull out and would of sank if we weren't 30m from the shore. both hit each other in the back corner of the hull with about the same force. thats why i didnt even consider a sea-doo for this summer and got a new another wave runner

Note the "ski mode module" can be added very easily to any of the other skis. Its a piggy back module for a few hundred dollars.

It saves over 100 lbs so it's faster.
Also, it bounces back in place where as fiberglass doesn't have any resilience.

Was at the boat show few days ago, with trailer and taxes , 18k drive away Canadian and 5 years warranty.
And I'm over here with my 92 Seadoo SP that costed $250 with the trailer. And I thought that was hard on my bank account.

Imagine having 170 hp and hitting 54 and then hopping on a Yamaha HO with 180 horse power and hitting 66 mph
or even an SVHO and hitting 72. Seadoo’s are for looks, Yamaha’s are for performance.
Sead-Doo has a break in period. That ski will go faster after its broken in. And Sea-Doo are always more innovative and better looking than Yamaha

Great video! I'm a Yamaha man myself the new GPR1800 SVHO will do 90 mph with a stage 3 kit from Riva. The FZR/FZS is also a solid platform as well.

Why has Seadoo sacrificed speed and handling for the sake of bigger hulls and engines? My 2000 gtx millennium edition would do 65mph with 951cc .
Yet to see of it can pull a 200lbs man un 1 slalom ski out of the water and how is the wake.

Our world is an interesting place: while you struggling to save money on your driving license and trying to figure out wether you can afford loan payments for your first car - some people by one of those. Education is nothing, skill is everything. I hope it wasn't too late to realize it.
