    After watching this, i have made up my mind and got my daughter the osprey premium. It was pretty close between the two but the reinforcing with the osprey and the inbuilt sunshade and storages gave it away. Great review. 10mins after watching it, went straight into my local bivouac outdoor store here in Auckland, New Zealand and get myself a treat! Awesome product! Worth it! Definitely!

    I want to upgrade my current carrier and have narrowed down my search to these exact models. I've been using an old Chicco carrier and just got back from a cruise where I used the carrier in lieu of a stroller. I've got a trip to DC coming up and plan on doing a lot of walking and prefer a carrier to a stroller. Thanks for the comparison!

    Nice video. I was on the fence about which one I wanted and was leaning towards the osprey. You definitely made my choice a lot easier.

    I came for tips on how to get the heavy backpack on then off again. I like your techniques at 1:10 and 2:25. What do you keep in mind when putting the bag on at 1:10? Secondly, concerning the strap/upper back adjustment 3:20, what should I be mindful of when choosing this?

    been using deuter 2 for my first born till she was 2, now waiting for my new born to use it in 6 more months. I am actually a fan of osprey (heck, I got 5 osprey packs) , but pogo seem to have some recall a few times. Even with poco ag ... but hopefully they solved all of them. Deuter kid carrier back system is rather old, while Poco AG is the new back system. Anyway, I got a sunshade/raincoat attachment for the deuter kids carrier 2, and only carry it when i need to, else it stays either at home or in the car

    Hey, I thought the Osprey carriers were much lighter than Deuter? Online it says the Deuter is 15lbs and the Osprey is only 7 so huge difference. Thoughts?

    This is really useful - we are deciding between the 2 for our 7 month old. We prefer the Osprey in most ways, but were just worried about when she naps as she sits up quite high even on the lowest setting, the Deuter seems to have better head support. Can your son nap and if so how in the Deuter?

    • @The_Kavalier

      Yes as long as they have full head strength and can partially sit up then it's perfect from then on. I still wear my son in the Osprey at 3 and he loves it!

    I am about to buy one soon, my son is 13 months old and he already 30lbs 3' .. I was comparing deuter kid III and poco AG, AG is more expensive like 40- pounds.. for standard version and 80 for premium...
    It seems for me that Poco will not grow properly with the child, those arms for child inside seems so small..
    dueter has much more room for child there!
    in first I had same though as you that deuter while moving is not so stable, but you should shorte the belts, so the kid would be close to your back as much as possible, adjust all belts and that feeling will be gone.
    in my opinion :
    poco is better quality
    poco is more expensive
    dueter is much bigger!
    as for new duerter kid version 3 it has sun shade plus rain coat so no difference here
    for small girls I would by poco for sure but for "big/tall" boys as mine I am struggling and probably will go for deuter..
    I would like o have it used for at least 3-4 seasons.. and I am afraid that poco will not make it ..
    but it is perfect for 1-2 seasons..

      I
      The Poco will only last for a certain amount of time while the Deuter is built to last. I think the maximum is 22kg, according to another review. I am going with the Deuter. This was not a fair review that I was looking for though.

    Do you think this backpack would work for both my husband and I with a large size difference? (5'1 ,120 lbs and 6'5 , 260 lbs?) Does it adjust that much? We also have large kids (20 lb 5 month old and 40 lb 2 year old) thanks..

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  6 лет назад

      Yes both are highly adjustable to both the wearer and passenger. I'm 6'4 my wife is closer to 5'4 but there's room to make it smaller on her. It would be a pain to adjust it each time you wear it unless you're getting two, we keep them fixed so they're just grab and go for our hikes.

    • @sleepfaster2988
      @sleepfaster2988 6 лет назад

      C Liptrot, my wife is the same size as you. We are concerned the xs adjustment for the packs still won’t distribute the weight evenly based on where the top pull straps are in comparison to the actual padded shoulder straps. What is your experience? Have you found any better options for women with smaller torsos? Thanks

    hi there nice review! one more Q. Is the Osprey suitable for a 4 month old baby ?

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  6 лет назад

      That sounds young. It can be made to be that small but you would want to ensure the baby has enough neck strength and can hold themselves up. We used an AirGo for the first 6 months then moved into the Osprey.
