Very great in detail! I appreciate you sir. I have a 1989 Lincoln Town Car that this adjustment was supposed to be made at a shop, now my car revs really high before shifting, & at times it delays before shifting. Could this be very much out of adjustment? Since you showed us how to do it, I will try to fix it myself. With it revving really high, could the shop have moved the cable too far back, or could there be too much slack in it now? Thanks in advance..
I got a 1990 mercury cougar in the shop that does not wanna accelerate without my rpms shooting up. The shop says it's the transmission but the condition of the fluid says otherwise. Could it be the TV cable?!
so you didn't show where the sweet spot is ... this is actually more difficult then just that ... there is really only one good spot these are supposed to be at I don't believe having extreme early or extreme late shift patterns is good from what ive been told
ZyraFX I don't know if they are vehicle specific or aod trans and motor combination specific part but anything for early tbird seems very hard to find aftermarket. some aod had 3.8motors some had 5.0 motors id like to know this also
Great video sir! Straight and to the point. Very informative...thanks!
You welcome, thx for watching

So is later shifts better? Which will keep your transmission alive longer under normal daily driving?

Possibly, check tv cable adjustment. These units are also known for forward clutch failure
Thanks for the video great job
