    This is such an incredible interview. I've been married for 21 years and I have to keep reevaluating myself in our marriage and whether whatever troubles we are going through, is it because I had this expectation of what I thought was supposed to happen vs. what is the reality, was my expectation a fantasy. AND, who am I comparing myself and my marriage to?
    One thing that really hit me was when he mentioned when he went to Bible college and asked the future preachers about their stance on finances and their incredibly negative reactions. I went to a Christian based college and there were many of the guys there that would have reacted the same way. This one situation wasn't even about finances but my freshman year of college I went bowling with a small group. I scored higher than all the guys. The next day, a guy that wasn't even there apparently heard about it and told me that if I ever wanted to get married, I shouldn't do that. I should let the guy win. Excuse me?! No, thank you. I want a real man that will encourage me to be my best self just like I would encourage my husband to be his best self. And, there's always the fact that not everyone is good at everything and it's awesome to find someone that can fill in your gaps.

    All jobs can be stripped away. There is security to having "money" or making it but it can all go away and then what ? A hard working man with integrity and kindness are big winners. What profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul mark 8:36
    Good things can be so distracting.

    I like Anjelah very much, but I don’t see her husband as ok or a real man that keeps up with his family. If a man doesn’t do more than a woman is not ok. And if he takes full advantage of her money and still he puts the conditions in the family, as he cannot accept her put the conditions, that’s not ok either. If he sold 2 cars that she bought for him, it didn’t make him an entrepreneur or a person who earns. It was still a gift from her money.
    A man has to protect and maintain a family, that means to do more than the wife, not only to give affection!
    He is very confident, although he should not be until he makes more than her. I feel for Anjelah.
    That’s what happens when you choose the man for his physical appeareance, sorry to say, but is true.

    Whether or not, you agree to their relationship it’s their relationship and they’re being open to discussing things that we’re not gonna understand because we’re not them. If he happens to use money as a example for his storytelling of relationship dynamics, that’s OK. Many couples are experiencing this that are just dating and are not married yet and it’s still important to bring up as conversation. We don’t know the value that they have for each other in the day-to-day that gives each other joy. So to say that they have red flags is a bit superficial at best. We’re here to learn not just gossip.

    I loved his energy. I too expected Anjelah to be the extrovert/more outspoken but he has an amazing personality and his energy was AMAZING!
    I wish Spicy was a lot more encouraging of this non traditional role and respected his Self Awareness. The energy didn’t resemble it. It was like a unsure response followed by “but I love that”…. Do you really though??
    He explained everything well, he knew his wife, and he was comfortable in his position/role. I learned a lot from listening to him. 🫶🏾

    I couldn't handle being married to this guy... He spends her money like it's his on designer shoes that in his own words can buy a house, but when she cares about spending on the wedding he's going to not talk to her for days until she changes her mind?
    He also never stops talking and comes across disrespect to her. Love her, not a fan of him sorry lol

    I'm going to say that when Manwell said he loved Anjela more when he saw how financially sound she was was wack! She is sooo much more than her pocket book, she is a beautiful, boss who is also hilarious....sometimes you come off as arrogant Manwell, gotta check yourself...

    • @ktmualem
      @ktmualem Год назад +6

      You totally missed the point. You might be throwing your pre-conceived notions/insecurities into the mix. He didn't say he loved her because of the money she had. He loved the fact that she was successful, independent and knew how to manage her money. There are plenty of people who make millions and end up broke because they don't know how to manage money. There are also people who don't make a lot of money but are smart about how they manage their finances so they end up doing really well. It is a total red flag when someone is in debt for making dumb or superficial choices. It is one thing to be in debt because of a medical issue, education, having a mortgage, etc and another one to be in debt because you are living outside your means (buying too many designer shoes, purses, cars, etc.) He even said he was ok with living on only $35K a year because he learned how to live within his means. I think it is a valuable lesson for people to live within their means, regardless of how much money they make. There is nothing wrong with admiring Anjelah for obviously being smart with her money.

    RE: how talkative Manwell is, he says he went to Bible College. He is someone who thinks and discusses the Bible, God, principles, ideas, expression of ideas, conversations, sermons, etc. It would be more surprising if he wasn’t thoughtful and open in a conversation on these topics.
