The lakers immediately got better once they got rid of Russ, the clippers always played better when they didn’t play Russ, and the nuggets look awful with Russ.

Westbrook fans always call him a “hard worker” yet despite being in the league over a decade and being a guard he still can’t shoot threes

I have the constant argument with them that they confuse playing fast with playing hard. He doesn’t play hard. He plays fast doing the things he wants to do. Otherwise he does mostly nothing to help the team at all levels of his career

Remove the word "threes" because the man can't shoot, he is extremely unreliable.

This was a nice listen although I disagree. Nuggets core have been together a little while. We have to give him time to try to fit in.

I respect that you can disagree. I would love nothing more to see them turn it around, but I don't know if he can be the cause of it

this whole video is pretty low quality - he should retire because he didnt shoot good - why was he in the league in the first place - not because of his shooting^^

His game was predicated on explosive athletic ability, and the confidence he got from being "that guy" allowed him to be a serviceable shooter for a couple years of his career... Unfortunately, he is no longer as explosive as he used to be (sometimes he does still get his first stop off quick and he still hustles for boards) - and he is no longer confident... and that's only getting worse with teams daring him to shoot. Like you said he's never been a high IQ player like most high-assisters, he just benefited from being so freakishly athletic that teams almost always sent help defense. It doesn't take a genius to find someone wide open.
He was insanely fun to watch during my lifetime but he's never played true winning basketball and it seems like the better performance he has for a team meant worse results. He deserves to be in the hall of fame but I think it's time to hang it up. He can't adapt his game to be successful again so everything we see from here will be on the same downward slope

Its pretty sad. You know he hustles 100% every play

I don’t why people hate on Simmons for not shooting and taking bad shots when he is obviously terrible at shooting but then say the opposite about Westbrook for him to stop shooting

Watch his tenure on the lakers, many times he shot them out of the game in tight moments

discovered your channel 2 days ago because of a positive video - THIS IS A JOKE - this video is so freaking bad - you re just complaining that he cant shoot - his whole career he cant shoot, so whats your point - he was good last year - its the nuggets fault how they use him and you didnt even loose a word about that - i m pretty much the opposite of a westbrook fan but i m also not a fan of bad videos - i wrote this so you can think about your work - not to hate it, but let me be clear - this low fruit no analyse content is not what i expect or want

Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
    -Dylan Thomas

Never liked Westbrook. Always being knucklehead and egotistical. Couldn't play off the ball too much during his whole carrier.

Indeed…always due to not being a good enough shooter to keep defenses honest……well, that and some all time poor decision making in the clutch
