definitely in need of an updated video. as prior comments are saying, I was surprised by the backwards mark on front lights harness (shorter was for the longer run and the longer for the shorter run). I had enough length for the rear lights. I was very confused with the grille install. no wing nuts, and missing parts, had unscrew and as a prior comment had to make it work and unscrew grille and attach the new aluminum support thru the back of the grille and then screw grille again (but all screw holes on grille were already cracked and had to make it work again.... I think all of this should be fix for more user friendly installation and no need to "make it work". Overall not bad. Thanks

As others stated, the updated instructions are still not correct. They have the short wire for the front drivers side marked white, and the red passenger side marked red. The drivers side is to short and the passenger side is to long. They have it backwards. Also in the video it shows him screwing the support assembly for the front cowl in place. Again, both video and instructions were wrong. They you 2 carriage bolts that have to be inserted into place holding the support brack on for the front cowl, then you install the front grill over the two carriage bolts. Also the instructions say “ use hardware from package #1. I didn’t receive any packages labeled. I received 2 packages zip locked with all the hardware in them. The front lights don’t fit flush with the front cowl. The edges in the corners stick out, no matter how tight you make them. The rear body panel is very tight fit. I hade to remove the trim around the rear body, install the body and force the trim to hold it in place. Now I keep having the front round corner pop out. I had the double take Phantom body’s in the past, and did not have all these issues. If you want brake lights, turn signals , horn you’ll need to buy the additional kit that supplies all that. Then, you end up jumping back and forth with videos, instructions etc trying to figure everything out. All in all, it took me a weekend to install their 4” A Arm lift, Alpha body kit, Their Gensis rear seat, extended roof, wheels , tires, turn signal kit, everything took about 10 to 12 hours, but now I have a brand new golf cart totally rebuilt for allot less. I been buying their lift kits and back seats for years, so If your handy and have a weekend , you can save thousands in labor cost. Without the rear seat and lift kit, I could have done the complete body kit and wiring under 5 hours .

Why did you install front cowl. only to take it off?

The rear alpha body seems to fit pretty tight, as you get one side in the other pops out. I tried tapping with my hand on the back corner, it broke, had to glue it in place. You can see this in the video, and we don’t see what gets edited out also. Don’t get me wrong, Madjax has some of the best videos I’ve seen, and some good products, but just letting you know what to expect on this particular item, so you don’t break it like I did.😑

It's the same two years later. I had to actually slide the underbody back over 1/2" to get the rear cowl seated properly all the way around. It's still a little wonky, but workable and the rear seat covers it. The tail lights actually help a little to hold it in place as well even though the tail light bracket holes on the underbody were like 3/4" off the mark.

Has there been an upgrade change due the problems people are taking about here?

I cannot figure out what screws are used to attach the front cow bracket to the body..

I'm having the same problem. Don't have hole for them to go into either. Not enough screws to attach to the under body.

Sorry for the delayed response, it is not lifted. The Alpha body kit follows the same lines as the OEM so all lift kits are compatible. Thanks

including the long travel kits? They seem to utilize the front frame as does your body extension?

This is a beautiful body kit, but rather difficult to install (especially with bad, outdated instructions, different hardware, etc.). The biggest shocker for me (confirmed by MadJax hotline) is the Madjax Ultimate Plus Light Kit (with all switches/controls on the steering column) is not compatible with the MadJax Alpha body wiring harness. So if you bought the MadJax elite light kit and then later upgraded to this MadJax elite body kit, you actually have to downgrade your light kit, specifically the turn signal switch to the basic one. I still have no idea why the Alpha tail lights require 4 wires. I was tempted to take apart the tail lights and change it to 3 wires LIKE EVERY OTHER TAIL LIGHT ON THE PLANET. Overall a great looking cart, but I doubt I'll do another one unless MadJax corrects the glaringly obvious goof on the wiring. Although, even if they do correct it, we'll probably never know because they never seem to update their packaging or instructions.

Chris, first off thanks for your purchase and apologies for the lack of compatibility with the new style turn assemblies. We are currently working on the Alpha re-launch to address these same points and a few more. Updated instructions, full ultimate plus light kit all in one, new grille design, head lights, and limited edition colors.
The reason for the 4th wire is to separate the brake light and the blinker so the brake light would stay on when the blinker was engaged for that side. In a traditional 3 wire tail light when the brake lights are on and the blinker is engaged the brake light for that side turns off and the blinker takes over. Thus leaving you with only one brake light lit up.
We are currently overhauling all of our packaging and instructions with the new Madjax logo and taking this opportunity to freshen up the instructions as well. Hopefully we can get these issues resolved and regain your business.
      Thanks

@@MadjaxTV I can appreciate that you're doing all this, but this body kit is coming up on 4 years old, and not to sound totally selfish, but whatever you do to it in this "re-launch" isn't going to help me (or any of your previous customers) with the better part of $1000 I spent on this upgraded body kit that now has no working turn signals or brake lights. Again, the body looks great, but I have stock Precedents all around me with working brake, turns signals, and everything controlled on the steering column. It's actually a little embarrassing. "Nice body, dude. Love the lights. Hey, why are you using hand signals?"
You really need to address a solution for your current customers as well as solving the issues for future customers. What good is a fancy body kit with proprietary high end light system when there's no way (outside of splicing and hardwiring) to get the brakes and turn signals working? You won't be regaining my business until you give a solution that helps me as one of your current customers. So glad you're working so hard to satisfy your future customers that you don't even have yet.

We sell our Turn signal upgrade kit separate from the Alpha kit since not all people need the upgrade kit for their neighborhood/application. The upgrade kit that mounts to the Alpha is the 02-006 and does not require any splicing. We should have more in stock in the next few days. www.nivelparts.com/product/53398/madjax-ultimate-upgrade-for-basic-light-kits

@@MadjaxTV you sell it separately acting like you're doing your customers a favor but then you force us all to use a proprietary bucket harness that has non-standard 4-wire taillights that make it incompatible with even your own upgrade kits and definitely all other wiring kits. I've been trying to order MadJax 02-006 for going on 2 months now from several sources and I keep getting sent the GTW 02-122 kit claiming it replaced the MadJax 02-006 kit. Most of my cart is MadJax parts. I did this specifically to avoid the compatibility issues I'm having now.

For anyone finding themselves in the same fiasco as me, the turn signal solution I eventually went with is the "10L0L Golf Cart Universal Deluxe Light 9-pin Plug Upgrade Kit". At < $90 it's literally half the price of the MadJax (now GTW) upgrade kit, and ironically much more compatible with the Alpha wiring. The only modification you'll have to make is snipping the middle blue wire in the 10LOL side of the 9-pin connector (the Alpha harness doesn't have a wire in the middle of that 9-pin plug), crimp a blade connector on it, and then connect that blue wire to the loose brown wire with the blade connector on the Alpha harness. This allows you to turn on the Alpha head/tail lights with the rotating switch on the stalk. The turn signal wiring all matches up perfectly and even the horn connection on the Alpha harness works with this kit. The brake light pad switch works fine, too. Initially my horn didn't work, but there's a diaphram adjustment screw on the horn itself that fixed that by loosening the adjustment screw. I then actually tightened the adjustment screw a little to reduce the volume of the horn as it's really loud (like car horn loud). The light switch on the turn signal stalk of this kit actually has two positions but the wires are tied together further down in the wiring harness. If you're so inclined you can separate out these two wires and then control two different sets of lights (like the Alpha DRLs, extra parking lights, or extra fog lights, etc.). Hope this helps someone get a better handle on this fiasco than I initially did.

Very poor video instructions, and some cheaply made ideas. Not recommended to purchase the Alpha body kit until improvements in instructions and quality is made. The wiring for the driver side tail lights are way to short, big mistake. Not enough electrical instructions, and when there is any, your not sure what cart it’s for.
