When they were on tour with ATL, I had the privilege to hear some new tracks off of the album. There's alot less Cabbage, but Jake does a really good job throughout the album. It's got the same "Mayday Parade feel", but there's less of the three guitars, and more Derek.
i hate the fact that jason wrote all of their songs, and he is the one who has an actually good live voice (though dereks isnt too bad here, but you can tell when he cant hit a high note bc he pulls the mic away from his face) and he left becasue he got no credit. not a single bio from mayday parade mentions that jason landcaster wrote almost all of their songs from a lesson in romantics. But Go Radio (jason lancasters band) just signed with fearless records recently, so we'll see them soon :D

Mayday Parade with Jason Lancaster was a unique and amazing musical experience, but I think we can all admit at this point that Mayday Parade has found their footing without him and both them and Go Radio are good bands.
@kokomoo123 i don't think Derek blows, tbh i think he's pretty good, i think its just that very few vocalists in pop/punk nowadays can really compare to Jason, he has a very unique voice and his vocal range and power are amazing. Most other vocalists just pale in comparison to him imo
i heard they were like begging jason to write it for them or something like that and he was like i will for 50000 dollars and they couldnt afford it im not gonna lie i doubt its gonna be nearly as good without jason
