It's a fun excuse to watch all the movies, even if they're not streaming somewhere 😊 the discount stores like half price books or value village can have surprising finds for super cheap 😊
Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡 i had to have my movies in storage for a few years so finally having somewhere to put them and being able to actually watch them makes me super happy 😊😊
Not too shabby! I myself own roughly 1600 movies on DVDs plus some other media. I think the main way my collection differs from many I've seen on RUclips is the fact that I tend to go for more obscure titles (I do own "blockbusters" too, just not as many).
It sounds like you have a great collection! What are some of your favorite obscure movies? I love thrifting movies and seeing what i can find 😊 I do like a good blockbuster but im willing to branch out 😊
@@AverageASMR That's a tough one, like you, however, I'm very much into horror flicks and about half of my collection consists of those. There's also a fair number of thrillers, action, and comedies in it. Some sci-fi and fantasy as well. I also own around 150 animated movies at this time.Quality-wise, my collection ranges from underground to hollywood, and from trashy B-movie to artsy, surreal film. I'd have to get back to you about any specific "favorites", for the most part, obscure movies tend to be that way for a reason, so they usually aren't among my absolute favorites. :D
@@ZeXiOn26 I am always in favor of people showing off their movie collections - I get a lot of good recommendations that way :) And that is an excellent point about non-English content! Living in the US it can be easy to miss out on other content, but actually streaming services have been super helpful in giving me access to other content :) Let me know if you have any foreign language recommendations though! :)
Great collection, and also a lovely ASMR voice. Looking at your stuff, I'm reminded just how much of a nightmare DVD organisation can be. Do you do alphabetical or do you do genre? Will you have enough space for everything? Do you combine DVD and Blu-Ray? It's insane! My wife and I looking to get a house together, and as a home media lover, I am both looking to and dreading putting or collections together. It's doable, but she has a MASSIVE collection of horror films...
haha yes!! The organization is always the best and worst part. And I am always moving movies from one section to another or re-sorting things to see what works. I have found I am a genre person, but then deciding how picky to get with that is where all the things fall apart lol This is my first time getting to have all my movies out in a long time and I'm loving it though. I support a massive horror film collection! That is an area where I'd like to add more films, so let me know if you have any horror recommendations :)
The shelves are relatively new for me - I spent years rotating a handful of movies out of bins at a time and then putting the rest back in storage. It's exciting to finally have everything out on the shelves now 😊🧡
I am missing Hobbs and shaw! I just saw it on tubi (maybe hulu?) and am going to do a re-watch of it. But I hated Tokyo drift 😆 the lead character just wasn't it for me lol
Nice collection, I just started collecting movies myself.

It is! I like having a physical copy I can reach for without having to figure out what streaming service everything is on 😊🧡

I also like to add non-English movies to my collection, as I'm very much interested in foreign languages and cultures (I'm Germany myself).
@@AverageASMR maybe someday I'll upload videos of my own collection as well.

Jack Frost is sooooo underrated
It is underrated! Especially for a movie that most people would like - it's always an easy one to recommend
I'm so jealous of the shelves lol legit I have all mine in bins until I get shelves
