    They're only getting hit financially since the door plug? What about the two fatal plane crashes due to their choice to avoid training pilots on the MCAS system to save money with their clients and make the most profit. This is just despicable! The fact that no one was held accountable for that. The fact that they're still in business. Their actions are criminal!

    • @ceasetheday87
      @ceasetheday87 10 месяцев назад

      Boeing definitely took a hit financially following the two plane crashes with the MCAS update. Boeing refused a government bailout during the coronavirus pandemic because the loan came with some conditions (I believe the condition was the federal government/taxpayers would have a stake/own equity in the company). Instead, Boeing received $25 billion in private funding from a bond offering in 2020. Boeing was eventually fined $2.5 billion in 2021 by the Department of Justice for a conspiracy to defraud the FAA over the 737 MAX MCAS situation.

      @@ceasetheday87 Hey thanks for the update and info. I think at the time I looked into things, it may have still been too soon after the crashes. That’s great to hear about the $2B fine. Of course it is. When you don't budget for real maintenance and then have to pay to perform real maintenance, you wind up spending money you didn't expect.

    It's ironic how Boeing wanted to save money by re-fitting a 50 year old plane and ended up spending so much money on fixing it. I heard once: "We don't have time to do it right, but time to do it twice!". I hope this will make more CEOs aware of the consequences when chasing after shareholders profits. It is not sustainable. It's not good for the customers. It's not good for the company.

    Flight crews are required to confirm the head count prior to take off so even if the flight wasn't sold out he would likely have been found out.

      Yes, sure! But I wonder... How is it possible for the agent at the gate to allow two passengers get into the plane with the same ticket in the first place? Weren't they using a scan reader?

    • @longfang98
      @longfang98 10 месяцев назад

      @@MarceloTrindade1I’m just guessing that the scan reader reads a duplicate scan as passenger accidentally scanning twice, and just gives a confirmation that the code is valid or not.
