    Thank you for this, this is going to really benefit me and help me improve, right now I am at a sub 22 5 km but I think I am well past that mark, I am aiming for a sub 20 over the next few months!

    Loved this one! Great workout. Might have to give it a go. It’s insane to me that your marathon pace is only 30 seconds per km slower than your 3k pace. Beast!

    My first video from your channel (via Philly Bowden). I am significantly older than all of you, so I like the progression even more than Ben- "This messy happy"-12 years my junior. I'll add it to my 5k season. I might look into the unknown third guy too ;-)

    Inspiring as always! Also gives me more confidence because I actually did my 5x1k off 2" all at target 5k pace last night and I finally did it the way I want, negative splits too, I am particularly happy because it took me 3 attempts to get it right. Thanks Ben

      Sounds like great progress. It really is a great workout that you can adapt to pretty much any race distance by either increasing the number of reps, speed or reps and recovery time :) great to hear your training is going in the right direction 🤙🏼

    Hi Ben, entertaining video as always.
    I’m now running almost a year and my current 5k pb is just under 19 minutes. I can’t even think of times like sub 17 or sub 16, so I wonder how you increased your pb from the 20 min mark up to the ( certainly this year sub 15 ) low 15 min area and how long it took you.
    Greetings from Germany, keep up the good work!

    • @BenIsRunning
      @BenIsRunning  2 года назад +3

      It’s taken just over 3 years of consistent training. Nothings really changed in the last year or so other than a little more milage and my splits in session have improved. Stick at it and I’m sure you’ll see the improvements keep coming

    Hey Ben! Thank you so much for your videos, your authenticity and effort is wonderful! I was just wondering, you've mentioned that you have had shin splints before, and seem to have recovered really well. Do you have any shin-splint-recovery specific tips? I'm hoping to run a half marathon in 2 weeks, but right now my shins are just aching while I sit :(
    Don't want to be a downer, and sorry if you would rather not relive the pain! I was just wondering if you had a few tips :) Thanks!

    Excellent video as always Ben. Perfect timing, I'm trying to improve my 5k to sub 18mins. As well as long and easy runs is there another session you would recommend to compliment the 6x1k? Cheers

    4 Vega caps (you need to put a little VEGA on your logo now) Watched it on all 3 channels as it's fun getting the slightly different perspectives. 👍, re caps I have a big head (no pun intended) I find it a little hard to find a cap that fits , the last 3 buff's I got only one fit. The Fordy one I have squeezes my head uncomfortably. This can get expensive, what's the sizing like?
