KKCOBVR Q3 PRO Battery Head Strap 10000mh $50 is a decent budget price: amzn.to/3Pq3RG9 I PREFER THIS ONE THOUGH: -Review: ruclips.net/video/Ob_bTddJzRk/видео.html -LINK to BUY: www.bobovr.com/products/s3-pro?sca_ref=5323670.E9nqlG1oXL
I have that strap. I've been using it for about a month now. Every time I pull the battery off after playing a bit, my quest 3 is still fully charged. I've only drained the battery completely during one gaming session once and I think I played over 4 hours and the quest still had a good amount of charge left. I would definitely recommend it. I just wish they sold the batteries separately on amazon but its probably a good idea to take a break after a few hours anyway. Edit: I just looked it up on their website and they sell the battery alone for $40😳
Have you ever used it with the strap just solely for offline media watching - like on Bigscreen VR maybe? How long does the battery last from a full charge?
@@peejae082004 I've watched some RUclips and some TV but never enough to come close to running the battery down. I usually sit in a recliner for watching media and the bulky stuff on the back makes it not super comfortable for that. If I was going to watch a long movie or binge a show, I'd probably swap to the stock headband and go corded for comfort. It's super comfortable upright though.
For me the KKCOBVR headset is better than the S3 since i prefer the top strap with the headset one since i do not like it to be pressed hard against my face and have always had the headset drift downwards after doing intense movements with this one it keeps it all tied down together so the whole headset would have to move to drift. Also took the honeycomb off the bobo and used it on the KKCOBVR (its not an exact match but you can get it to fit) since i like the honeycomb better than the pads.
It's definitely lighter and the side arm knobs adjust it a lot, I find the Bobo gets closer to my eyes still with my custom interface and I really do like using the fan on it so it still wins for me but at this lower price I could see a lot of people liking this one.
I have to agree with Jay here that the kkcob doesn't get close to your eyes. It's a dealbreaker for me, but if it wasn't, I think the kkcob is better because of the price and the back and forth mechanism. I just wish it it slid in more.
Have you ever used it with the strap just solely for offline media watching - like on Bigscreen VR maybe? How long does the battery last from a full charge?
I have this strap and have been really loving it so far! As others have said, my battery holds the Q3 battery at full charge until it dies. I played Demeo for 3 hours the other day, and my headset was at 99% by the end. They did recently announce availability on the black P2 battery separately, but I agree that a multi batt bundle for $80 would be incredible. I think maybe the cradle is too much to reasonably expect for a budget product, but I have plenty of fast chargers
Finally the review i’ve been waiting for! I am still rocking this head strap, better than the m3 for sure. Haven’t tried the s3 just yet. Do you feel it’s worth it if i already own this one?
Amazon had a sale on the kkcobvr head strap, $8 off, so i went ahead and bought it. It charges the quest 3 fine in my experience playing Asgard's Wrath 2. It is soooo comfortable compared to the original strap. Almost feels like have nothing on my head in comparison. I don't think i need the top strap but i use it as a handle so I'll leave it on. No buzzing so i guess they replaced the backplate that was causing the problem. No regrets what so ever and saved $45 vs S3
I bought that Kkcobvr non battery headset. I like it a lot. A little effort to get the position right, but i never get any head pain from it's strap even after several hours. I use a big power bank clipped to my waist with a 4ft cable.
9:24 The ears on the Bobo S3 are now just my carry handle for the VR headset, and now that I've been using it that way I'm surprised no-one has built a real carry handle into a VR headstrap yet because having something to securely grip onto while putting the headset on is very handy.
I am a BOBOVR S3 Pro Super Strap owner as well an totally love it. Its so comfortable and the Battery and FAN......NICE, Hoorah. This is well worth the extra $$$. Totally recommend this product as well. Also owned the BINBOK Head Strap and that was a really good head strap as well and comfortable to wear, but swapped it out for the BOBOVR S3
any chance you could do a review of the various Infa Red Light emmiters that would be compatibale with the quest 3 ?? They let you do passthrough in dark conditions there are a few reviews for quest 2 but none yet for the 3
I have one of those. You can see it in quest 2 as the passthrough uses IR cameras only as it lacks colour cameras. The quest 3 uses colour cameras for passthrough. You cannot see infrared light in it. So it does not light up dark rooms. But it will still work for improving tracking in the dark as the controllers are still tracked using IR cameras.
The output says 5V, max 3A+/-0.3A (or 2.6A), but you should plug in a USB power analyzer to check what you actually get. I find that with USB A to C cables (no power delivery negotiation), my Quest 3 will only take in 1.4A no matter what. And the result is that it works exactly like you describe here: it will easily maintain charge level on low power consumption apps and slowly drain the Quest battery when running more demanding apps. I have never run out of battery with 5V / 1.4A, so it's perfectly fine for me. With a USB-C power adapter, the Quest 3 will take higher voltages and currents, but it's likely that with a low budget product like this, they just didn't implement any of that. The battery pack may be capable of giving you 2.6A, but the Quest 3 might not draw that much if it doesn't trust the power supply. Using some USB-A to USB-C cables, I only got 0.4A! (You definitely want more than 0.4A.) I don't have this headstrap, so I could be wrong. It would be good if you could invest $5 in a USB C power analyzer and show actual numbers when you review stuff like this. Maybe you could even do a whole video on that, trying all the different alternatives you have for powering the Quest 3?
interesting i not got quest 3 yet waiting to get better head strap out of the box idea, bobo one not in stock yet but doint want spend money , i want 1 head strap with swappable battery thanks for video , ever since apple brought theres out i desided as am in uk i can get quest it be my first vr/ar
I'm gonna hold out fo the Bobo VR battery dock, fast charger and extra battery, Halo Headstraps give me a headache so if they had an Elite Style I might try it.
After using the Bobo S3 I'm just shocked that the people at Oculus haven't moved to an integral elite strap with the battery permanently mounted on the back and you could put the processor in the middle instead of on your face, there is no reason any VR device needs to be so front heavy (as the Quest 3 and Apple Vision are).
He did a review on a specialty one that needs a 3d scan of your face (with an iphone), they then print an interface out for your face. You see it in this video a bit, it has a very thin blue silicone material. He has a video on it I believe, just need to look back a bit.
@@jaybrattThanks for the response I just have 2 more questions (sorry). Bobo says they are going to release a super charging stand, is that going to be separate from the S3 pro or will it come in a bundle with the S3 pro? The second question is would you say the Meta Quest 3 Silicone Facial Interface is an overall good facial interface? (Again sorry for the long questions)
@@CamTheMan8 Bobo will make a dock w 1 battery option for current S3 owners but new owners will want to buy the bundle when it comes to have it all. The meta silicone interface is pretty good but it's spendy. It's identical to the stock but with a high quality silicone instead of the scratchy pad. It has the same good and bad as the stock one though when it comes to the plastic buttons inside, the fit and all that. I'm hoping Bobo makes an interface soon but they haven't confirmed that to me
Having just bought an S3, my heart dropped at the title screen. It's a relief to know my money has still gone to the best in class. I would argue that a $30 price difference is a matter of patience. Quality is definitely worth waiting to afford rather than caving in.
