Its best to hook the ground to a ground point instead of directly to the battery with a Jumpstart that way you pass power to only the starter otherwise you drain your jumper quickly cause it trys to charge the battery instead of just starting the car

Seems better than most of the others from Walmart and elsewhere.
Use it regularly for 6 months. If it makes it that long I will buy it. After my 5th one I quit buying them. My last 2 were supposed reputable brands to include the Audew from Project Farm. 4 months and no customer service help.

I leave mine connected and let the vehicle charge it back up. Now mine is not lithium which we all know takes it own charger. But neat bit of kit tjough

Stephen what is the Warranty on the product you reviewed ? Also looks like it uses 3 LIPO Packs. I would get back to them and tell them to make it serviceable on the battery bay. So if the battery goes that you can purchase a replacement battery as a glue sealed package. That will be a massive product improvement since they are in the alpha to beta stage they should put that into the improved version. And of course you need fuel in the truck LOL

Please correct me if I am wrong here, but I have always heard that you should NOT recharge a battery with the alternator (a dead battery).I know the alternator is designed to maintain a battery, but not to recharge from dead. (However I am guilty of it)

Not sure if Hulkman is a scam but they say they offer a Alpha 100 jump pack but I can't find anywhere that you can buy 1. Not even direct from the factory.

Hey Steve....Mark from Australia....I've got a question regarding jump starting.....I've seen people do it and I've even done it myself and that is instead of putting the negative lead to the battery, actually putting it on a ground whether it be on the motor/engine or on the body/chassis.....was wondering if you could explain to us all in your professional opinion which is best or if it doesn't really matter.....Thanks mate.....Cheers.

@@rookm13 It belonged to Mark Carriker who was working on restoring it while battling cancer. When he got to sick to work on it, he gave it to Stephen and The Good Of The Land to finish it for him. He died shortly after. But the tractor hasn't been touched since March.
Mark was brother of Matt Carriker of Off The Ranch, Demolition Ranch, and Vet Ranch.

This product is vastly superior to jumper cables. The problem with using one vehicle to jumpstart to another is this. There is a very good probability that the vehicle giving the jump is going to be damaged electronically. How do I know this? Had a Ford van with the V8 Triton. It was a company owned vehicle. Invariably another employee would leave something on in their vehicle. We would jump start with good cables (#4). The van would last about two days. Then it would need a new alternator and what not. Finally management saw fit to get a charger/jumper. It took them like two years to figure that out. Even though I told them from the very first time that jumping the co workers vehicles was not a good idea.
If this unit can jump a 6.8l I will defenitly buy one

Only thing bad is here in Canada with the low temps we deal with it probably wouldn't work.
They have a 8.5s model that warms up the pack internally for very cold climates
