I'm glad you made this video. Too many travel vloggers go to the same places over and over. I don't think I've ever seen a travel video about Louisville or Kentucky. Louisville is overlooked, especially by foreigners who only know the four biggest states. I'm adding Kentucky to my bucket list. Thanks, Chris and Sara.
Had the same experience.. grew up in Ky til i was 18 moved back at 40 and really enjoying my home state and city of Louisville, From Etown originally. Ky has so much to offer. Still exploring new experiences. So many events and festivals. Cheers.
You made this Kentucky girl proud!! Beautiful shots and such a fun video. Rich loved the bat transition. Spending New Year’s Eve with you. Happy New Year!
Your all's videos are the best! Love the shots, the cinematography, the creativeness and the editing. I didn't know Chris was from Kentucky! (me too!) So cool. Glad to have met ya'll in REI a while back!
It was so good to meet you, too!! I hope we cross paths again soon! Goodness knows we're in REI way too often so I'm sure it'll happen sooner rather than later. 😂 happy new year!!
Love your state Chris! We visited so many distillerys during our stay. So much, that we hid in the red river gourge for two days to recover and see that beautiful place! 😂
Fun watching our friends on New Years Eve in Miami before we fly back to Colombia in the morning 😊 Kim and I send you our Best Wishes and Blessings and look forward to seeing you all soon ❤️
I'm glad you have had a chance to experience a little of the Bourbon Trail. We go up every year from Chattanooga to visit the Trail and go to the horse races. We thoroughly enjoy it!
How do you afford to just travel all the time ? I'm not asking in a mean way, I'd love to do this but can't even find the time or money ...Thank you for sharing your journey.

Really loved this video, having been to many of these distilleries (but for Makers’ Mark). You did a fabulous job describing it all and the way you filmed the drinks being made, made me want to like bourbon even though I actually can’t stand it! Nevertheless, the tours are def interesting and as you noted, sooo much goes into the process. It really is an art form and craft one can’t help but admire and co parked to brewery tours, seems so much more refined, as it were- old world like. I particularly love Woodford Reserve’s- the drive along the road there in both directions is gorgeous, as are the overhanging tree lined small European like stone walled roads from Midway (near “Versailles”) to see the horse farms. (If you haven’t already, def do that road into Midway in the spring with the gorgeous daffodils!) Love your music choice too with the bluegrass/folk like acoustic and string/fiddle picking. Really apropos - totally felt like I was absorbing it along with you. Thanks for the recommend on the travel insurance too. Good to know and worth getting an account even if years before we face overseas travels again, most likely. Happy New Year, Chris & Sarah! What a way to ring out the year with the last YT of ‘24. Safe travels.❤
Thank you so much! We're so glad you enjoyed and found the process as interesting as we did. And thanks for the recommendation, that sounds like such a beautiful place in the spring!
We’ve only visited Lexington & Corbin KY. I’m not a bourbon fan (My John is) we need to return what a great tour. Kentucky is a beautiful state! Great video guys! ~Cara 😊
Excellent video. We toured Wild Turkey in September. We try to work in distillery tours on our way to and from Cincinnati. Paula says that she hopes you tried Wild Turkey’s bourbon fudge.

Thanks, Chris and Sara.
We're so glad you enjoyed! We love showing places that aren't necessarily the most visited.
You and your twin sister you both always have great videos, 👍 ❤🇺🇲

Kentucky really does have so much to offer! Cheers!
I went to Maker's Mark once. Dipped my own bottle and still have it on display, 15 years later. You guys did a great job showing the experience.
Thank you! Maker's Mark was super cool, and we loved the outdoor area.

Agree! Your video quality just keeps getting better.
Beautiful video! And I love it more as I'm sitting here sipping my Maker's Mark Small Batch. Safe travels, friends!
Sounds lovely! Glad you enjoyed!

Sounds like you had a great time! The Red River Gorge is such an awesome place.
Howdy from Versailles, KY! My wife and I love your videos!
I grew up In Versailles! Thanks for watching y’all!
So so cool! It would be so fun to do one of these someday!
It’s a ton of fun. Y’all would love it!

FTR, “The Dukes of Hazzard” is set in fictional Hazzard, Georgia, not Hazard, Kentucky.
Nice video!
You're right - it's set in Georgia but the creator is from Kentucky. Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks, Cara! Kentucky definitely has tons of gorgeous places to offer!

Thanks William! We'll have to add that fudge to our next visit!
You guys should of gone to Castle and Key. It’s EH Taylor’s distillery who is the father of bourbon. Plus it’s one of the coolest places to visit
We'll keep that in mind for next time - thanks for the recommendation!
jealous! cheers ya’ll 🥃
Thanks so much! Cheers 🥃
Spent 4 days doing the same thing in October! Rabbit Hole was a pleasant surprise... really neat place.
Awesome, we love hearing about others’ experiences on the trail!
Looks like a fun trip!! Can I ask what month you were there? Is it travel able in December (no snow?) or were you there in fall?
We were there in December! It did drop snow a few weeks later but for us it was 30-50 degrees.
Wait, does this mean that Chris replaced his bike after it imploded on RAGBRAI?
I hear that they have bike tours for the Bourbon Trail as well.
It does!!! Our plan was to bike the bourbon trail but the weather wasn’t cooperating with us
Do you still use the auto rickshaw you showed in your previous video
Yes we do!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys! I hope 2025 is a GREAT one! ❤
Merry Christmas to you too, and Happy New Year!
Hello. I'm curious about the song played during the Buffalo Trace footage. Do you know the artist or song name?
Hey Justin! Here is that song www.musicbed.com/songs/ballad-in-c/81962 it's called Ballad in C by Lane King
“Dukes of Hazzard” were in Georgia.
You're right it is based in GA but the creator is from Hazard, KY. Sorry for the confusion on that!
Super cool beans speaking of beans hope y'all bought some black eyed peas for tomorrow (New Years Day) as it is a Southern tradition on New Years Day
Happy New Year! Black eyed peas are an awesome tradition for welcoming in the new year!
How does one "do the bourbon trail" and not go on a single tour? Huge miss on your part.
Fair point, Marc! We did the trail our own way this time, but clearly missed a step. What’s your must-do tour for next time?
Love the curly hair! Natural?
I wish! 😂 it's a perm 🙈
@@chrisandsara😂I had one of those in the 80’s… yours looks much better!
Wait… Chris is allergic to peanuts?
Yep! All nuts
@ Yall have put out awesome content! Chris is one of the good ones. So good to see yall doing well.
@@jasonpayne4820 Thanks so much Jason! Hope you and your family had a great Christmas and are doing well!
