Had the cybex sirona s and loved it till I got a new car and even though all indicators were green and double checked it still had a lot of give in my rav4 that it didn’t have in my forester and the seat moved more then I felt it should. We looked past it cause it was green on all instillation indicators but around 13 months my daughter was able to press the button and undo the chest sensor safe buckle and while driving her home from daycare I looked back and she had an arm out finding it funny. After that every drive she instantly wanted to press the button. I decided to move to a different seat specifically without that button latch chest harness instead of buying the many 3rd party covers they make to deter kids from pressing the button so that’s the only warning I’d give the button doesn’t take much of any pressure to undo so a very small barely toddler can figure it out which stinks.
I know the eternis is supposed to have decent space for the seat in front of it, does the Sirona have the same amount of space or is there less legroom for the person in front with that one because of the turning feature?
The Sirona is definitely a bulkier seat because of the swivel base but only by a few inches. The bigger challenge is the load leg taking up floor space. However it is a great safety feature. Our Sirona is in a full size pickup and still gives plenty of leg room for an average sized driver. -Ben
