    Great presentation!
    I knew that canvas was all money maker, but presenting the actual dollars and cents of it is mind boggling!
    A couple of tips for selling the Canon:to begin with Canon's color management system is renowned in the art industry. With the right packs of ink and the right paper, you could sell glacee prints, recognized as an archive print, which is the same level of quality as a fine art print. Good money with high end decorators, and the carriage trades.
    I also think that someone doing canvas prints of any grade is missing out on a lot of cash not on the order.
    I suggest three or four moldings to offer. Sell it with a good amount of profit in them. Your customer will be glad not to have to then go out and get a frame. Doing the chopping nailing and finishing work is easy after constructing a few as practice. That's extra high profit revenue. But since it was sold with that extra profit, you could order from a b2b picture frame. The industry has an excellent software interface. Cheers, and thank you for all of your hard work!🎉.

    Finally a video that gets down to the nitty gritty. You covered almost everything in a single video! I'm a photographer and I'm trying to sell my prints on canvas etc through dropshipping.
    They say the canvas or fine art papers are very expensive and charge upwards of $100 for a 24x18. How is it costing you so less?
    Are you using top quality archival papers/canvas and inks?

    • @koachkrafts

      @@koachkrafts Ok nice.
      Also do you think if I print here in India and ship it to US/Europe that would be cheaper or using a dropshipper who does the printing, packaging, shipping would be cheaper? They charge like $100-150 for a 18x24.
      Because if I ship abroad, I think the shipping costs could be very high due to the heavy weight of Framed fine arts prints or gallery wraps.

    Since I can't get ahold of the Pro 2000 in my country, I was thinking of going for the Pro 1000, as it is easier to find and the price appears to be within my budget. Do you think that I will be able to get the job done using the Pro 1000? I found out that it will be able to handle the 11x8, 24x17, 30x20 sizes, that you mentioned in the video, but I was wondering if there're other factors that I need to consider, as I am not really experienced in that field. Thank you once more!

    Thank you a lot for this video! Finally, I found some answers, I just want to ask you, don't you do you lose some jobs because of the print size limits of the printer? How often do people ask for prints larger than 20x30? At least here in my city, I see that the 24x36 is a very popular size for a canvas, but to print this you would need the bigger 44-inch printer, am I right?

    • @koachkrafts
      @koachkrafts  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it would require a larger printer. I do get asked time to time but for the most part they can work with the 30 by 20. Having a larger printer would be pretty worth it so you can service those large canvas orders as well, as long as you can bear the extra cost on the printer.

  • @geondy2
    @geondy2 Год назад +25

    You left out the fact that with a Canon printer you must print every 60 hours. Or the printer will run a cleaning cycle to keep the heads clean, which wastes ink. Failure to do so will eventually clog the head. Ink cartridges are the most expensive item after the cost of the printer. If you have enough clients and orders to keep busy every day or at least every other day. That's awesome. Good luck.

    • @koachkrafts

    Thank you for Sharing. It is vwry Profitable for any Artist who are into Selling Art. When you are Breaking down the Cost and your Profit. I think I need to go against how you compute the Cosf of the CANVAS PAPER - For example for a 20 X 30 Inches Canvas you should have add extra 3 inches for each side of the Canvas for Stretching the Canvas. So for a 20 X 30 Inches Canvas the Cut Canvas Size should be 26 X 36 Inches. I hope I have corrected you on this

    • @koachkrafts
      @koachkrafts  Год назад

      Hi there, I actually do go through and explain the extra paper needed to wrap. It is explained in the video and that cost is included in the total cost of paper used per print.
      Let me know if any confusion.

    Hi! Excellent video, it was the best I found on the financial aspect!
    I read in the comments that you stopped working on this to focus on your main business. If you were to record this video today, would you change anything? Something went wrong? I ask because I want to start in this area, but the investment is quite high (especially here in Brazil, the printer and inks are ridiculously expensive).

    • @koachkrafts
      @koachkrafts  Год назад

      Hi Matheus, that is an excellent question. Sorry for the equipment being so expensive, hopefully you can find an alternative.
      To answer your question, if there is anything I would change it would just be to market the canvases even more. This would include to add some more creativity and making canvas designs that are trending. For example, when argentina won the world cup it would've been a great idea to make some Messi canvases and market them. Basically if there it one thing I would change it would be to target some methods that help the business go viral.

      Polyester canvas is best.

      Make sure the shipping charges are paid by your customer, they dont mind paying as they are already expecting the charge. Shipping Charges could be anywhere from $10-$30 depending on how far it is going. Make sure your canvas is bubble wrapped!

      @@koachkrafts thanks for responding! I need some guidance on editing (just starting out in process of buying my own printer). What editing tool do you use if any and how often do you edit the images that get sent to you?

      @@koachkrafts I know we ask the clients to send the image in a high resolution, but what if that’s the highest resolution they can provide and they want a larger image? What editing do you do then?

    • @koachkrafts
      @koachkrafts  2 года назад +4

      @@SJ02208 The only reasons I'd have to edit them are because:
      -the focal point of the picture is too close to the edge (the edges have to wrap)
      -Picture needs to be adjusted to the size printing
      -other minor edits
      For all these edits I use adobe but theres several programs you can use out there like Photoscape.
