    this may be a silly question.. if your client falls asleep, do you carry on and let them wake up when they do, or do you stop the treatment and politely wake them up? x

    I was told if you stand its an instant fail...?

    • @KindredWoD
      @KindredWoD 8 лет назад +1

      Not necessarily. You have greater range of motion if you're standing and have a bit of free room behind you. If you wanted to do a stretch such as pulling at the base of the skull directly upwards of the client's alignment, you wouldn't be able to get that direct angle if you were sitting and stationary in a chair.
      I would double-check your source of who told you, and ask more than one professional in the field of their opinion.

      +Orchid and she does say that standing is better for the start of the massage too for exactly those reasons. But that table is too low for standing to do a massage for any length of time... my back hurts just watching her bend down awkwardly to perform the massage.

      I have been doing this for 30 years...
      and have never sat while doing this...
      sitting would hurt the practitioner far more
      than helping the client...
      Of course, I have a special made table too...
