The vast majority of people don't realize that, as you pretty much have to have racing blood in your veins for that. It's not about the win, it's about knowing you're the best, which Ken knew, only prideful people that have talent (or insane money and training) care about the win, because they think that's how they prove they're the best.

Daytona, Sebring & Le Mans aren't the Triple Crown, brother. Yes, they were the races that happened in a year, but, it was and is 24H Le Mans, Indy 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix of Formula One that is considered as the Triple Crown of racing. First to do was Graham Hill.

The race starts at the start line. Following that Le Mans illogical thinking, anyone starting at the back of an f1 grid who then finished half a car length behind 1st place would win the Grand Prix!!! Thats not how circuit racing works.
How can the guy in the back travel a further distance because he’s slower. Doesn’t make sense So what’s the point of going fast to get the pole position. Finish last and you win. Wtf.
Bruce McLaren did not win the 66 LeMans, Ken Miles was a lap ahead of the 2nd and 3rd place GT40s and he intentionally slowed down to allow the three GT40s to cross the line 1, 2, and 3 all at the same time for the Duece. Ken was literally cheated out of a triple crown win for winning all three major races that year by a ridiculous technicality. That's why Carroll felt bad about asking Ken to slow down to allow the #2&3 GT40s to catch up to please the Duece.
Ken Miles and Lewis Hamilton, the true winners of the achievements that were cruelly taken from them. Carroll Shelby is a real one for not bowing down to what the world is telling him.
