- My approach to farming is going to be very different than what you find on RUclips. I'm an entrepreneur who was pulled into agriculture at the call of my late grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Mae Hughes.
After she passed, I felt an undeniable call to start growing my own food and get back to my roots. Because I'd been self-employed for years, my approach to starting a farm was different than the advice I got from watching many, many hours of RUclips videos.
In order to pursue a farming/homesteading lifestyle full-time, I knew that it was going to take time and money. I also knew, like a majority of all large commercial farms in existence, that I was going to need to use the USDA as leverage.
As an entrepreneur, I knew that learning the rules to the game was Step #1. I read the rules and learned the definition of a farm according to the USDA. Then I learned the rules on what it would take to access the BILLIONS of dollars in capital that are available exclusively to farmers.
