    Hi Achim, thanks for this video.
    I totally get the point on why having two short hoses instead of a more common short left long right, even personally using this one as I'm mostly diving with people using different config, and donating a tank isn't always possible, but I was wondering on why having a shorter hose one your right tank, as the hose have to cross your chest from the right first stage to your left shoulder, then behind the head, coming from the right in your mouth, wich makes a greater distance than the left one, wich doesn't have to cross your chest. Then I don't really get the point of having a shorter right hose than left hose.

    I like this concept of using 2 x 1m reg hoses or 1m and 80cm reg hose. Wouldn't it be even easier to use a R/L regulator configuration, so you don't need to run the the left regulator hose around the neck, any options on that?

    Hi, I'm just wondering, I bought a set of scubapro mk25(not evo) and a700, as I can see you are using a lot of scubapro regs, I would like to know what is you oppinion about a water temperature in which I can use it, I read a lot of forums, and some divers saying they been diving under ice and no problem, some saying it'only for warm water

    about the spgs, I wonder why they should be routed backwords. I mean what are the situations they most likely get entanglet? right, in tight restrictions (where you realy don't want it to happen)! so how do we pass a restriction? either with the bottles mounted on our sides because we think it is wide enough or we get the bottles in "pistole hold". In pistole hold, the spg now is looking the other way around and when we leave our bottles mounted on the sides and we can not pass the restriction and have to swim back, well, they again are routed in the wrong side supporting an entanglement. thats why my spgs are mounted the other way around with the benefit that I can easely read the during my dives

    Hi Achim,
    Please can you explain why you placed the double-enders on the second stage and attach them through the cave line going through the regulator exhaust?

    • @khat_diveprivate2518
      @khat_diveprivate2518 5 лет назад

      James InEngland1 I would love to know the same. I assume to clip the regs to the D-rings and in case of entanglement to cut them loose easily. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Ok... possibly a dumb question, but I'm coming from a back-mount system and just starting to learn side-mount... What is the double-ender for on the exhaust ports of the second stage? Thanks!

    • @Erockzee
      @Erockzee Год назад

      Clip off to BC… you have the other on a necklace and alternate during the dive to keep pressures close and maintain good balance/trim. Not a dumb question at all. Sidemount is super fun if you get a chance to check it out!

    ‪Really enjoying your channel. Show idea: I’m debating between side mount & back mount, what would you choose and why? I’ve watched your episodes on each, but how do I choose without diving 25+ dives on each? Cheers. ‬

      Depends on the type of diving you do. For shore entries and penetration diving sidemount is more practical. For boat dives, or diving with stage cylinders, backmount is more practical.
      Then again, you're diving from a boat with a low deck or a RHIB, sidemount can be easier because you can hand your cylinders off to the boat crew.

    Just curious why you don't use a 2 meter hose on the right?

    I am considering buying a second Atomic T3, which has the same outlet for the LPI - do you think the swivels Atomic has originally would suffise to bend the hose comfortably (instead of the 90 or 45 degree version)?

    • @MrTanstaafl99
      @MrTanstaafl99 5 лет назад +1

      Id say not but YMMV, I sold my atomic swivel hose a long time ago. I use a 90 degree elbow myself on both of my Atomic B2s, The atomic swivel really doesn't give you any more than maybe a 45 degree bend at the absolute most. (don't forget to get the jam nut if you want to go with a regular hose)

      Hi Philipp, I recently configured one set of ST1s in the ISE configuration above. The swivels can work, but you'll have to try to see if the overall length works for you looking left. Depends on your body size really. My student had no issue and we were able to get the atomic hoses in 1m and 80cm. Hope this helps. Safe diving.

      the sound issue - funny - as this one is done wit hthe mic I used for the first 50 vis or so.. never any problem - then the expendisve wireless - only bad comments - so the 3rd mew one will be here on monday - maybe then we will get this solved and everybody is happy.

    • @Cirquz1

      Hi!
      It does not help with a good microphone if the placement is wrong. Try putting the microphone "freely" then the sound becomes more "open" Look at the TV hosts they have the microphone sitting on their tie. = get a tie ;)

    thin hose on SPG - bad idea, if u want miflex - use thick hose.
    If u cant detach double-enders on second stage by any reason - u cant make a beath i think, not enough the length.

    I'm not a text diver but I'm just curious, why would color coded hoses be a bad thing?

    • @leogaillard6945
      @leogaillard6945 5 лет назад

      Because if you use color to code your gaz, you need all your team to use the exact same coding pattern, plus if you're beginner (or have one with you), and there's a mistake on wich color goes on wich stage tank, you may breath 80/100% O2 instead of your 50, wich can be problematic. And those are only some reason why not to use color to code you gaz.
