I looked up many pictures online for inspiration beforehand, and came up with my own take on a green snake, which is why most parts of my look are different to Mykie's; our videos look similar mainly due to the color palette. A good tip for the nose putty, put some makeup remover on your fingers and tool. It stops it sticking and you can blend it seamlessly into the skin

I agree, just because the animal is the same and colors are similar doesn't mean it's a ripoff. The techniques and overall orchestration are different. I think it's very classy that she added a shoutout to Mykie's channel in the info.

Using fishnet to create snake skin effect is not a new concept... Mykie did not invent it and many people on youtube has done it before her as well.... as much as I love her, I find fellow followers of Mykie to be some of the worst... On the plus side, I absolutely love the make up you did...... it looks very clean and in all honesty I much prefer it to all the other hundred something snake skin tutorials out there... will try it out soon........thanks for an awesome video..... :)

I'm glad you put the fishnet on your face before doing your eyes. I saw another tutorial where the girl put the net over her face AFTER she had done her eye make up. I would think your method is cleaner. Thanks for sharing! I'm being Medusa this year for Hallowe'en!

yes, she is cute with or without makeup. She has amazing features, and when she "changes" herself (into another entity haha), the fact that she's already pretty makes the final product look that much better!

I don't know if anyone has told you yet, but I use cold cream and rub a little on my hand to work with the putty :) It keeps it from sticking to your hands! also, if you apply a little cold cream to your face before the makeup it makes it easier to apply on the face as well. :)

This is a great look! You are so amazing at what you do :) one thing that I find helps when working with the putty is to use a little bit of Vaseline on my fingers (just a really thin layer tho) or some water :)

I am a fan of glam and gore, but I did read the title description and the colours and techniques are similar, however yours did not have the shedding skin element. The snake make up is not new, but yours had dimension and was not just using green and gold and your look was lower (shoulder and neck wise. I am sorry many of the fans of Glam and gore have said some hurtful comments. This was a cool look and I liked how this was more focusing on glam. It is possible to like Glam and Gore and not bully another make up artist.

If you take a little oil on your fingers, soft putty is actually really easy to blend!

It's store bought but I would suggest special plastic wax instead (much more durable)!

Use moisturizer or Vaseline when using the putty so it won't stick to ur fingers

Very realistic looking. Y'know what i like about you a lot? Your pierced ear and ring, at the top, instead of the usual place. It kinda projects your uniqueness, which you of course are! :-D Now...to all guys that read this; Would you take this absolutely gorgeous woman out to ... an expensive restaurant?..while... she is made up like a snake woman!!!? ha! Maybe those freaked out eyes, would spook the customers too much!..and the staff wouldn't let her in? OK Claire, you asked some thoughts, and there they are! :-D OH, also!, I had a creative idea for you! You can add a spin on your channel, where you go out in public totally made up (like some creature, or perhaps a vampire, or something similiar), and you secretly video people's reactions! Maybe kids will scream and run?? Maybe guys will ask you out!? (haha), maybe wives will give you dirty looks, because you're so pretty (under it all), or it could be a variety of situations! You can call it *_CANDID CLAIRE_* !!! or something similiar. Ok, it's just an idea, and i'm having fun! :-D We make creative videos too! - from here in Mexico.

I've scoped a few other channels, but you *_are_* the best at this! ..but you talk very fast! omg. Here where I am all life is sleeping in comparison (very slow). I have one interesting question dear woman; what inspired and or motivated you to become a makeup artist to the degree that you are? (I think i know the answer, but I am asking you direct). Was it perhaps a visit to Egypt? (they were into makeup big time back then), is it the fact that you always wanted to paint paintings, and decided to do faces? Because really you are an *_artist_*above all else. I mean it shows 100%. plus of course, you talk fast haha
