It's been already commented: brave man! I would not dare to do that. However, I may be forced to do so. I am having problem with declination drive. It stops after a fraction to maybe one degree of move. It happened just during the fourth session with the SKW Adv. GTi. I filed a complain but they are silent fourth day (just got automatic confirmation of reception). Would you have guess what can be a problem? Also a question to you video - it doesn't look like there is any greese on the dirve teeths. As far as I remember you generally recommend putting some greese on it. What kind of greese would you recommend any special kind? When answering please bear in mind that the trade marks of items available in the US may not be available in Europe so a type of greese hint would be the best. Thank you .
I will be going to the dark site soon, life had been a little busy. I will the redo guiding calibration and see if it improves but I will say it is smoother sounding, if that makes sense. But that's not good evidence of improvement 🙄
Thank you for the video, Just maybe next time You can dissassamble the motor unit. Right now Altough I can connect to mount the motors did not respond, I m trying to diagnose the problem, Do you know where can I buy the specific parts of the mount ?
Maybe use a multi meter to see if the motors have voltage to them. Honestly I'm not sure if any of the parts can be purchased 🤔. When I take it back apart again I will do a little digging and see what I can find. Likewise if you learn of anything please share.
Re the missing washer on the dec backlash screw: Yes; there should be a washer there, just like on the RA backlash adjustment screw. It'd probably be cheaper by an order of magnitude - and a heckuvalot faster - to just buy a single stainless steel #4 or #6 washer at your local hardware store and put it on yourself than to get Sky-Watcher to send you one. Unrelated question: I'm intrigued by the backing music track in the video. Care to share the title & artist's name?
Sorry, didn't quite get the bit where you can adjust the reticle without taking the whole unit apart. Can you please explain? Mine is like 30° counter clockwise off . . .
I'm having trouble accessing the RA part of the mount. The RA faceplate isn't coming off due to the latitude adjustment bar being in the way, and I can't seem to remove as easily as you did in your previous video. Can you provide any information/hints on how it is removed?
@@JeliSpace Thanks for the reply! I saw your other video here: ruclips.net/video/_nZr6yJWqOo/видео.html where you're taking the black rod off - I believe this prevents the plate from coming off? However, the rod doesn't seem to budget at all for me - I've even resorted to take the flat end of a punch and try to gently hammer out the rod to no avail.
Very nice! Thanks! Looks like a nice little mount.

Was there much of an improvement after pulling apart and regreasing the mount? Thanks for the video!

Song is by Elias Pires title is Fundo Estrelar. Thanks for the idea there.

Yeah I will make a new video real quick and get it up for you. So please be looking for that shortly, thanks so much!
@@JeliSpace, thank you!
Does it have 2x bearings on DEC axis as well ?
excellente vidéo trés instructive....thanks !
I'm glad it helped! Thanks for the kudos 👏
Brave man! ;)
Someone had too? 😆

Sorry for the late reply, are you talking about the lower cover? Kind of hard to understand if we are talking about the same thing?

I almost bought one of these instead of EQ6r Pro, glade I didn’t, looks flimsy and poorly built 😬 good video though.
Surprisingly inspite of that out does perform well. Thanks for the kudos, and yeah that eq6 is a beast!
@@JeliSpace I'm impressed that they could engineer, and manufacture that much tech into the mount and market it in the $500-$600 dollar price range!
