I wish they made a replay file version, so all who attended the event can free cam around the island (a different version of event so it looks normal) and a file of the players view, like an event replay file, in its own separate area, would be nice to rewatch all these events
First off:
Too much data for the game to handle if they have to render in that much stuff
Second: I doubt they’d be bothered to make a second variant of the event just for replays when people can just mod the game to replay mode it anyways
Lastly: there was a lot of behind the scenes stuff which was nescessary to make the event work
Like the seperate mechs at the start, the things for the zero point and the island swap from image to model
It wouldn’t be easy
And yeah, I understand your mostly uneducated about game production but fortnite just didn’t have the ability to pull off an active replay file for the collision event, not many games would be able to
The reason they don't do replay files for events anymore is precisely because of how weird, glitchy and unnatural the events look when you look at it from a free cam perspective, these behind the scenes/ different perspective videos show us just why they can't let us have free cam events anymore. If we got a replay file of these events, everyone could see clearly how weird they look. And no way they would go through the bother of making a completely separate version of the event where it doesn't look weird, that's just pointless additional work.
