- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you what's in my hospital bag! My hospital bag essentials for my hopeful natural labor and delivery birth! I pack pretty light if you compare me with any of some of the other youtube mamas I have watched! lol But I think I have everything I need ... maybe need to throw in a baby hat! -- thought I did that but apparently not!
Hope this gave you some hospital bag inspiration on what to pack in your labor and delivery hospital bag! I also share with you my 35/ 36 week update! update on my subchorionic hematoma and how baby is growing, and some symptoms!

As a labor and delivery nurse: patients who bring snacks are the best patients 😍
@Beata Kowalska She probably meant the nurses gifts, which I was a postpartum aide (CNA) it is a really nice gesture to give thank you gifts (ONLY FOOD they usually can only accept small gifts like cookies, etc.) but obviously not expected! As for eating ... you can't usually until you deliver, at least that's in my area and I'm USA, it's in case you need a C-section they don't want you to vomit and aspirate or something, IDK.

When should one give the snacks to the nurses? When you arrive or after the baby is born?
As soon as you pulled out the snack bag, I was like “ok I’m hooked” 😂

Lol My daughter in law thought the same about running out the door, she took her time and guess what? My grand son was born in the van 2 blocks away from the hospital lol
I think we all have the fear of getting stuck in traffic and delivering in the car!! lol / waiting too long to leave!

I wish I could remember what I packed in my hospital bag because I’m sure it would have been hilarious, but I do remember packing pre pregnancy jeans thinking for sure I’d be wearing them outta there 😂😂🤦🏻♀️
Oh the disappointment...
I almost had my son in the waiting room because the security guard wouldn’t let us in. So my water broke right there at their door on the carpet. Yup, when my MIL came she said there was a caution “wet” sign at the door! 😆 I was 36 weeks.

ud he it was after hours I guess he needed approval from the nurses station. I wasn’t hearing a thing at the moment. My husband was pretty upset though. 20 minutes later my son was out!

Snacks are a must! I was disappointed I didn't want any of the snacks I brought myself this time, because I was hungry, and my husband is hardly in the hospital with me.
I failed with my snacks when i was in labor with baby #2 i packed alot of little junk food items thinking .. ill get meals at the hospital or send hubby for that but noope ..so yea this time around im even making a sandwich .taking some cookies and some bread

Wow, I don’t think my parents had anywhere near this much paraphernalia when I was ready to be born (1950’s)? And I’ve never heard anyone ever speak of after cramps. I’m getting a real education. And glad I am past child-bearing years. So not my thing but I have a great appreciation for all you moms who have children. I pray you will have a beautiful, healthy baby, a safe and easy delivery and everything your big heart desires.

I an a minimalist hospital packer as well. I actually packed spare clothing this time because my water actually broke last time and I needed clothes.
Interesting! Baby size sounds good! I was told at my 20 week appointment that my baby was 5th percentile. She is my 6th, and I thought it was likely not going to be a problem. She was born 41 weeks 2 days and was 8lbs 2oz. Perfect size. I was also huge. I got so many comments, hahaha. I didn't mind. I had issues with my left side, too. Vericose veins. Only on that side. Pregnancy is interesting. I love it.

A great video i don't have kids right but when I do now I know exactly what to have, I actually had my gallbladder removed in July I've never had surgery before but when I came home I had my bag with things I I needed and an easy dress to slip on and flip flops I was only in the hospital for one day but everything was useful that I had, I love the travel size things they are perfect for any thing, I hope every thing is ok and safe for your delivery and a healthy baby

The more I’ve watched your videos the more I love you! I’m 34 weeks with a tiny baby hopefully she plumps up like your little has. 😀 I felt like I was listening to me talk about myself packing and hoping labor hits at a convenient time. That one thing is always my one thing I worry about😂. My packing list gets smaller with every kid. Thinking of you in these last weeks carrying your little miracle!
It's seriously a concern when you have other kiddos and no one in your life readily available or close enough to be able to drop everything and watch the kids for you lol Hope . your little one gains some weight!
I just ordered a super cute hospital duffel bag from amazon for $29! I saw it in Emily Noel’s hospital bag video and loved it. It even has a shoe compartment for slippers! That being said, I’m glad to see someone packing minimally. A lot of the videos I’ve watched have me overwhelmed. I don’t remember packing much at all with my two other kids and I never even considered taking makeup of any kind. 🤷🏼♀️
You aren’t lying Kim I had baby #3 October 2 & let me tell you those after birth cramps are horrible I don’t remember them being that bad with my first 2 kids 😬 yes!!! Take snacks!!! My hospital was sweet enough to prepare a snack bag for me 🤗 so nice

Dying over your water breaking in the movies comment because my water broke at 36 weeks while my husband was at work at like 3am. I waited until 5am before I even called anyone to tell them. I didn’t wanna wake anyone up so early in the morning because I wasn’t sure if I’d just peed myself or if my water had actually broke 🤣
YESS!!! True fear - going into labor in the middle of the night and 'interrupting' others... hahaa So ridiculous. I would have been freaking out too! -- only about 15% of women have their water break before labor begins, so that's something I had no idea about! When I was prego w/ #1 I figured that was the first thing to happen!

Pregnant with my third. I'm gonna be running out the door. 😳 Good thing is I'll know when I'm in labor bad news is, I progress. Too quickly. Scared I wont make it to the hospital this time around.

I had my husband go buy 2 dozen donuts the morning after I delivered! Nurses the loved them. Also, I used the boppy pillow to sit on after my stitches.
I have that same dress and it’s soo comfortable lol. And I’m very minimal with my hospital bag ftm lol I’m 37 weeks and 3 days 🤞🏽🤞🏽
I didn't really have a birth plan with my daughter my plan was just have her and hope it all goes well lol
I 'went with the flow' with my first and didn't express what I wanted for myself and baby and they did a lot of things I wouldn't have necessarily chosen so I just have a few requests :)

As a fellow expecting mom with a spouse that has to stay the night with the other children at home, I'm bringing a ton of food too. The only freezer meals I'm making are frozen sandwiches for my bag! PB&J and mini meatball is my plan right now. Because after baby comes, it's hunger central and my babies don't sleep until they're three months old so more time for food.
Walmart has some nice black flowy nursing gowns.
What a great idea to sleep with the swaddle blanket!
My number one thing that is a must have is adult diapers. Dont get the regular depends, they are rough and itchy. Get the always discreet diapers. They are so soft. I hate giant overnight maxi pads. Diapers all the way lol

My mother in law had long labors except with the second to last one. 45 mins, she had the baby in the er waiting room and barely made it through the hospital door. Every kiddo is different, even in labor. So the tooth brush is a safe bet.
I enjoyed watching this even though I am in my 50's with teenagers and am so far past that stage...so cute,brings back memories, and you are so prepared. Hope you're feeling good.

Yes! Labor for me was not like in the movies either all in a rush. I showered did my make up, stopped at burger king since I was starving, then cried in the car for like an hour I was so scared I was going to poop while pushing. Finalky after like 3 hours went inside.

My first three labors were super slow and steady (like 36 hours), and labor number 4 was 3 hours start to finish and I didn’t realize it was labor until the last hour and I almost had her at home alone on accident. 😂

I love the nurse's gifts. I did those for my first one(Capstick, snack, hand sanitizer, and that type stuff). Second baby..nope! Hope baby arrives closer to 40 weeks for Mama's sanity!
I had a birth plan for my second and absolutely nothing went according to plan and I had a second c-section. But he came out healthy so that's the end game we all wanted. I hope you have a smooth birth and you get everything you want out of the experience! ♥️
Also, I got "due any day now" starting at like 5-6 months and "are you sure it's not twins?" At least 10 times with both pregnancies so I feel your pain and bitterness!
My third baby was smaller and that sucker slid right out 🤣🤣🤣 he was healthy, and I was happy I didn’t need stitches! Yay! 🎉

For me, the one thing i wish i had packed for the hospital was a larger water bottle. I was so thirsty! But i don't think i heard you mention it... sending positive thoughts!
I usually bring a water bottle with me everywhere I go, so I assume I'll have one handy while I'm in labor :)
I will be 30 weeks on Friday, and I have been watching all of your videos! I love your energy! I just watched your meal prep! I I got a lot of ideas, but my family is not as big so I think I'm going to do just a few. As Ive been watching your videos I feel like I'm not going through it by myself! I also had the hematoma that presented at the beginning of my pregnancy, however mine did dissolve, sending prayers to you Mama for safe delivery! God bless!
