so much that I could say here, but I"ll be nice. Really nice video.
Cool stories.
Jolly fine pair of Martins... glad to see you well!
many thanks my friend! always great to see you!
Why do you keep Blowing smoke rings Randy 😂😂I remember I think 🤣🎸🍻✌️Hold On
it keeps me from smoking as much lol thanks for viewing!
Keep on pickin' my friend. I know this was some years back, but I bet you can still do it. I like that first one, that is the guitar you surprised me with. I was aw man he made the sound hole bigger, what a mistake. Then you played it and I could not believe how good it sounded. Almost like a Taylor on steroids, except even better. It truly has a voice of it's own. It's a keeper, that's for sure. Have a good one.
thanks man! I was surprised too! I thought the guitar needed a little more high end tones, and enlarging the sound hole was a major chance I took. but it paid off BIG time! thanks for tuning in!
Those are two fine Martins so hang on to them as Martin tends to discontinue some newer models as they did with my 2007 DC AURA which i will never part with & with the Fishman Preamp it sounds great either with or without using my Fender Acoustasonic Jr. which i think Fender turned into the 150 & now i am not sure what or is they still make that amp but mine still sounds just fine & as the wood has mellowed so has the tones & sustain of the guitar. With so many new guitars out, I'll keep my Martin till the day my time is up.
Thanks for showing and playing the Martins.
Very nice 👍 keep it going Randy
Mine is just. Martin D16e and I have about 15 high end guitars and lots of amps …and everyday I grab that d16 which is a cheap Martin and I play it all night till I go to bed
lol I do that a lot too, often grab my sons Sigma when its here of even one cheaper with high end guitars all over the place lol thanks for watching!
⚓️ Thanks Randy 😎
I remember seeing a new MMV on the wall at GC back in 2010. I don't recall playing it, but it had a ton of 5star reviews from very happy owners. Glad you like it that much. Take care Randy.
for the price they were/are killer sounding guitars! including this one I've played 4 of them now and every one was well worth the price, they have in fact gone up a lot since their release dates. thanks for watching!
Always fun Randy 😊.
Nice video! Great looking Martins
Very awesome nice guitars. I have heard you play both of them they are great guitars. My D35 was made in 2001. I always liked the D35s better for some reason. I've owned two of them over the years. Thumbs up to your video. Stay well, my friend.
many thanks my friend! I'm quite fond of the D35's too, you can't go wrong with them! thank you for tuning in!
habe you been to moundsville pen, martin is my favorite
sure have! several times, when I was heavily into photography I used to love shooting that place. thank you for tuning in!
Enlarge the hole to help the highs, but did that diminish the other frequencies?
not that I could hear, it still vibrates and feels like it did with the smaller hole, it did add some highs. thanks for viewing!
There's Mr. BUD LIGHT.?
👍👍👍👍👍👍😊🎸🎸🎸
I'd love to hear the story behind the Dove too. Does your son still have it?
oh man, I'll put in my notes to make a video dedicated to the Dove, long story there! yes my son still owns it, and says he will never let it go! he lets me have it from time to time, I always play it a few weeks then give it back to him. watch for that video to come! and thanks for watching!
@TheHousethatneverSleeps Thanks Randy, I'll look forward to that. I love my Gibsons, especially my Dove, I don't seem to have developed a taste for Martins yet, perhaps I just have maple or mahogany or shortscale ears! Your larger sound hole Martins sound good though.
@@kristinaelias3755 thank you Kristina! Obviously my dad always liked gibsons over martins too! :D I myself did too until I got my first martin and I became hooked on them lol but there again gibsons has a sound of their own and have been successful over the years keeping that unique sound. I restored a 1901 gibson florentine guitar I wish I had kept, it had an oval shaped sound hole, it's be worth a fortune right now!
The MMV is just a Martin DM when the DMwas made in USA but instead of mahogany it's made of rosewood. That's it
You can’t make this 💩up 😂🤭
Great guitars Randy. Great playing! Oh man!
thank you Dane! and thanks for tuning in! very much appreciated!
