I’ve had every version and twice owned the x100v. I have no idea why I love this camera system so much. My a7c2 is better in every way but I crave my Fuji. Other Fuji’s aren’t the same

you inspired me to get the x100v back in 2021 and it is without a doubt the most FUN camera I've ever used. Countless amounts of interactions and people coming up to me asking what camera is it and etc.. Seeing that from 2021 till now and the hype around this camera is mind boggling, sold out everywhere and the resell market is just crazy. Fuji truly made something special here, and I couldn't agree more with the upgrades u suggested. a flipout screen too would be nice, and if it hit that 30mp sweetspot would be incredible!
Yeah im still confused where all that hype came from haha. When looking on the used market there was a grip for $1800-$2,000 that weren't moving cause there's people with sanity selling them for $1400-$1600. I get annoyed with this whole get rich quick mindset type of people. Tryign to make a buck off anything, ruining the used market for people that actually like the camera haha
I've had the XE-4 (same sensor) for a few years now and love it so much. For day to day stuff nothing beats these cameras image wize.
Wish Fuji would keep the X-E series

Probably the longest I have held on a camera for.Three years plus now. It's been great every time I see folks put out a video it inspires me to get the camera and shoot. Despite the shortcomings its compact punch is hard to beat. I have the black one and even if the newer one were to come out I think I would keep this one. I agree a f1.4, 40 mega pixels a faster processor ibis. I would be ready to pull the trigger on one. I'm guessing with that wish list the camera won't start at 1400. If I had to choose take one camera with me daily, trips family events, it's been the x100v. And If not I can still find room in my laptop bag for it. Camron, keep it, the magic you create is just breathtaking. Shoot on...
I appreciate the positive words brutha. And man the X100V is the camera of the decade in my opinion. It's like the camera we all needed in the day and age where its all specs specs spec, instead of the art and moment.

The main addition I would take over all the others is a distance scale on the lens.

American Spirit pouch tobacco is best for bee stings. Just wad it up, wet it with saliva or water . Place tobacco wad on bee sting apply pressure.
I hope they will make the shutter button more rugged and IBIS with internal ND would be amazing. And I hope there will be more slots for custom user profiles. To apply LUTs like panasonic would be awesome too.

As my cameras and lenses have gotten more serious I definitely shoot less casually or with friends and family. I had the S and F previously, and recently I started travelling with my old a7r2 and sticking a Samyang 35 2.8 on there, the closest and cheapest I can get to the X100V with what I already have. I've also debated getting the older X-E1 with a 23 1.4 for the older style Fuji sensor.
The flash problem is the most disappointing to me, it’s hard to keep your crowd in the mood for that photo when you have to wait for it over and over. I also feel the autofocus could upgrade, low light has always been difficult for me shooting with this camera. However it’s still my most used camera since i preordered this, it always inspires something
I picked up an x-pro 3 and it's pretty awesome, still haven't tried an x100v and I probably won't based on the crazyy mark ups. I still want an x100 style gfx camera

I bought the X100 when it first came out years ago and loved it. Was thinking about picking another one up since I gave mine away to a friend who was looking at getting into photography. Question for you, I've acquired so much camera gear throughout the years and either sell it to friends for an insane discount, or give away. Where do you sell your gear? eBay? I need to start getting a fair price for the stuff I've got.
I usually sell my stuff to friends first and if no one wants it I post on my IG usually. I see buying gear like rentals sometimes.. I buy it, use it for what I need, then sell it at a discount. To me its not money loss, its a long term rental fee.
I Luv the x100v too. I sold mine twice now. I picked up a X-S20. Sadly I’ve not used it much lately as I’ve been using my Nikon Z8 for kid sporting events for video/photo. I no longer shoot weddings and recently viewed a video that the Panasonic S5ii has real time luts that can bake into video and photo. Up to 10 luts into memory so you can have Fuji simulations or your own. I’m at a point where I like custom looks, but dread editing time. I’m considering trying one. I had an original S5 and loved the colors, but the focus was horrible for wedding photography. Now that it has phase and contract focusing I think it is a much better camera as I loved it before except the focus issue in the original. Only down side is the size. Wondering if you tried the S5ii with the real time luts?
They need to make hyperfocal focusing easier. Figure out how to make it weather-sealed without having to buy a separate filter. 40mpx. And better build quality. They should make a full frame version with a 35 or 40mm and go head-to-head with Leica. Or Leica make a Q with a 40mm...

@@cammackey They could do this for an X100-style camera without creating marketing chaos for either the regular X and GFX lines. The GFX50r was too big a step up in body size from the X100. There is, I believe, a market gap for a full frame electronic rangefinder-style camera. Sony has abandoned the RX1 line (a great lens on a mediocre body with terrible AF). I suppose an A7Cii or R with 40mm 2.5 is an expensive solution...

It's a small photo and video beast with IBIS, good autofocus, 10bit video, 6k open gate... The only tradeoff would be the leaf shutter and 100g of weight

All the stuff you want from the next X100 will make it way bigger, dude. There’s no way the next version will be compact with an F1.4 lens. But one can wish.

I agree with the F1.4 lens. More megapixels and better auto focus. For me I don’t have a problem if the lens is a little bigger.
Would like to see Fuji put stabilization into the lens and not the body, since it is a fixed lens!
They’ll probably give it the X-T5 sensor with the latest processor. It would be nice if they could give it the bigger battery. I think it will come out in a few months. I’m mostly happy with my X-S20 with a 27 (40mm lens) even though it has the older X100V sensor.
Dude I love that 27mm. And agree I think it’ll be a simple and predictable upgrade. Which is totally fine if so. Like I honestly don’t know what else they could do to it without ruining it haha

Waiting for the X100VI ;) Sold my X100V for a nice amount of money and spent the money on studio rent and pro models (shot with XH2, so I allready know the 40MP Sensor) ;-) I thought I maybe (re)buy a GFX50r (used) but now I tend to look forward to the X100VI ;-)

They need to make 2 versions - 1 w/ fixed lens and 1 w/ interchangeable. They should take inspo from Contax G and Contax T = Fujifilm GX and Fujifilm TX, G would have higher MP sensor and T would be less MP and cheaper. Also a fast 27mm lens. They should have a titanium version like Contax also

XS20 and 27mm 2.8 or 18-55 all the way. Take a hit of 200g but get all the trans X 5 processor juice. I also debated about the Ricoh GR3 cause the dials and switching to video on the X100V annoyed me most (I just can’t not shoot a few clips to go along with a series and add music) but nothing gets close to the XS20 for the little weight you have. The auto focus was annoying when moving fast like on a quad safari I did. It was fine on a speed boat but I just didn’t want to get limited by it and have something to support my creativity.
Did you try Topaz AI Cam? It can upscale images I never tried it but it might make full frame obsolete (if you don’t have the budget for full frame or don’t want to carry weight)
Your wish list will make it into an XH-2...size is what makes this an everyday carry. 40mp is likely, and a new w126-3 battery, but the form factor is key. I've had the T, F, and the V is so damn good. P.S. slap a Godox controller on top and put a real flash in your pocket when you need fast blink blink.
Most of the time I have this camera on my hip tho for fun so don’t want to carry around a flash. Rather jsut use a bigger camera at the point haha. As long as they put the 40mp sensor in there and better recycle times, I’m good.
Given the success of the x100v, I don’t think the next version will be much different. Sorry folks. The camera was such a hit that i doubt Fujifilm is going to change a whole lot. I think we will see minor changes.
I believe the new sensor will be the X-Trans CMOS III (same one the x-s20 uses) vice the 40mp to reduce size and weight. Which apparently has snappier autofocus. Secondly, I don’t think this camera will have ibis. That feature will be a pro model thing. Anyone who has used the x100v knows that you can successfully shoot handheld at 1/8 without the need for ibis. Again it’s a size and weight thing. Another upgrade I see Fujifilm doing is the battery. I think they will use the battery the xt-4/xt-5 uses. It’s time that battery goes and I think they know it. Lastly, new film simulations. I think we will see a couple more this time around.

I’ll be mad if they don’t give us the 40mp sensor. It only makes sense. But yeah I’m assuming the same with minor changes. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Import or export? Just standard h264 4k. Its less about the export settings and more about the overall process honestly haha

I have a few buddies who have the newer leicas and I dont have too much interest in them, just rather shoot with my Sonys than that.The reason Fuji is fuji is because of their film simulations. If Leica was to make their own then I would entertain them

Yeah but they’re a bit garbage honestly compared to Fuji sims. Like if you’ve never tried a Fuji camera then they’ll seem magical. But as soon as you try a Fuji camera.. it’ll ruin everything for you haha

Hopefully the upcoming Fuji announcemnets of a few new bodies in the next couple months will have a new iteration of the X-100 series..but for me and I hope which is more likely will be at least one of them will be the new X-Pro 4!! first..then the X100 series body...like they did back few years ago..the XPro3 release in October 2019 then the couple months later X100V 2020..so fingers crossed X-Pro 4!..haha

Dude any standard software can upscale an image nowadays in 5 seconds. 26 megapixels is plenty, even to crop a bunch. I'd rather have smaller files that don't take up a ton of card / drive space...upscale if needed prior to printing.

Well, cam, looks like all we really got from this list is the 40MP and better af. Unfortunate.
Highly doubt they'll change the lens. I hope they don't either, unless they can get away with something brighter (e.g f/1.7 or soemthing like that) without altering the size significantly. I expect we'll see IBIS, 40mp, and the improved autofocus. Hopefully the rest stays more or less the same.

@@cammackey yeah potentially, but they squeeze ibis into some really small bodies these days. Even if it's a slightly more basic ibis that would be nice. It certainly wouldn't be as much of a size increase as making the less f/1.4. Anyway, dope video as usual bro 👍
@@joelnormann idk if they were going to add on any size I would 100% prefer they give us a faster lens rather ibis. Ibis can be handy for video but for photos I dont think its all that important, specially with a locked off wider focal length.

They put ibis in a Ricoh, and the xs20. Small bodies with ibis would be awesome with 40mp and f1.8 or less with better auto focus would be so nice!

Yes but the whole reason Fuji is so engraved into our modern creativity is the film simulations. No other manufacturer is doing that and until they do Fuji will carry this side of the retro market. I think it’s silly for these camera companies to make retro inspired cameras and not offer retro inspired in camera color profiles. People forget to have fun, cameras are a tool for art after all
I agree. My gf was saying that she would love it if Nikon licensed the Kodak brand and added Kodak simulations. The point from your video that the Nikon hits is that the touch points are made of brass.@@cammackey
