- Eggless Paan Cake Recipe | Indian Paan Gulkand Cake | Betel Cake
Ingredient List:
All-Purpose Flour: 125 gm
Oil: 60 ml
Baking Powder: ½ tsp
Baking Soda: ½ tsp
Salt: 1/8 tsp
Paan Leaves: 4-5 pcs
Water: 50 ml
Milk: 50 ml
Sugar: 80 gm
Curd: 60 gm
Gulkand (optional): 1 tbsp
Green color (optional): 2 drops
Paan Flavour: 3-4 drops
Sweet Supari Mixture: 2 tbsp

Method:
Step 1: Make paan solution by grinding betel leaves with some water and then strain it. Add 2 drops of green color to get the bright green color.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl take curd, sugar, and oil. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
Step 3: Add Ossoro Paan flavor and mix it.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of Gulkand to enhance the flavor.
Step 5: Using a sifter, sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into wet ingredients.
Step 6: Start mixing dry and wet ingredients.
Step 7: Add prepared paan solution and milk to make the batter.
Step 8: Pour the prepared batter into a 6 inches cake tin.
Step 9: Sprinkle some sweet supari and tap the tin on the counter.
Step 10: Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 C for 25 min.
Step 11: After 25 minutes, take the cake out from the oven and unmould it.
Step 12: Let it cool down. Slice and serve.

Love dis reciepe, hv seen many reciepes but most of dem just use paan essence, but this is d one of d two or three reciepes which actually uses paan or betel leaves, gulkand,n above all Supari mix...superb reciepe...love it, cant wait to try...thank you so much for sharing this

The supari mixture is generally available at any grocery store. Yes you can omit the essence.

Yes you can. Just grind it into a mixer with some milk and add that paste to the batter.
