We're officially back on the road here in New Zealand and we're so excited to be crossing to the North Island for the first time!! Weeeee!! See ya next week in Wellington x
That was a very smooth crossing. I've had some shockers crossing the cook strait. it is one of the most gorgeous scenic crossings though. Thanks for the video. i really love your low key vibe.
Oh yes! I miss Fidel's (stayed just down the road last time I was there. Wellington is wonderful - I lived there for a year 25 years ago, but ended up homesick and back in Dunedin. One of the biggest regrets of my life, as I couldn't afford to move there now ❤
As a homesick Kiwi I am glad I stumbled across your videos. Very cool to watch. And you were lucky with the weather. I have been on that crossing a few times in the middle of winter where people were throwing up everywhere because the swells were so bad. The weird thing is I live in Canada now so also have taken the BC Ferries lots too!
Oh I’m so glad you’re liking them! Bc ferries is a totally different experience than this eh? The cook strait ferries feel like a much bigger adventure imo. But the views and the chance of seeing whales on both is familiar!
this is my new favourite channel 🥰 i live in tauranga i hope to bump into you on your travels!!! i love your vibes you would be soooo cool to meet in person
Great video. Personally as someone who doesn't handle sea crossings or boats that well I always get a cabin. Just being able to have your own space and our own bathroom makes worth it especially on the rougher crossings. That was a very claim crossing.
The cabin was really helpful when the waters got a bit rough! Honestly I never get seasick but half way through this ferry ride I think the rocking made me really tired and I just wanted to lay down. I think the cabins are 10000% worth it!
I am currently travelling through NZ myself and I am so glad I found your channel! 😊 We will be taking the ferry next month with a camper, do you know if you're allowed to stay in the vehicle during the crossing?
Those cabins are so good if you have a look early crossing and just wana rest up especially heading to the south island, the interislander is shockingly bad, bluebrigde is pretty good callue for money and yeah those cabins... cant say enough about them 😊
Wait just a cotton picking minute here - I think I have missed something, as only last week you were parading in Abu Dhabi. A Please explain note !! (hehe)
Hi!!! We posted an update video last week, maybe you missed it: ruclips.net/video/bZsgfLZjBLs/видео.html If you don't have time here's the short version LOL: we had a crazy flight path coming back, we couldn't land in Queenstown, our car broke down, we had to abandon it, we got a rental and now we're booking it up to the North Island asap to make it to our house sit in Tauranga!

We have heard it can be crazy! And thank you!
Wellington is my favorite city in New Zealand, perhaps my favorite anywhere. Hope you have a great time. Be sure to stop at Fidels for breakfast!

Those little microphones come in handy and it looks like they're wireless too! Excited for you both. 🙋🏻♀
Yes they’re the dji wireless mics! ❤️
That would be what they call "Wellington on a good day". Come back soon :)
I love that xx
What at an amazing ferry service for an independent country, especially New Zealand!!

Hiya! As I am scrolling comments and watching figured I’d answer. You can’t stay in your car on the crossing. Have so much fun in NZ! 😊
@@travelingpetsitters Oh that's super helpful, thanks a lot!!
@@Anna_ForFutureAdventures of course! Cheers!
Mt Maunganui is lovely. The area is sometimes called God’s waiting room.
