From what I read.. Lori Peters (Skillet's previous drummer) taught Jen Ledger how to play drums. I do agree with you however specially how Jen shares vocals with John.
I love them so much. I love how they are so dark and rocking but they are so clean and inspirational. Most bands of this genre lyrically focus on pain and heart break but they focus and fighting for your rights and for a better world and standing for what you believe in and it is just so beautiful.
they did that dope stage rising back and forth thing down in lazerfest in des moines this weekend. they definitely gained a fan at that concert for sure!
we saw the concert March 10, 2014 and it was amazing! I was in a wheelchair so we were up a lot higher... cool to see what it looked like where I would've wanted to see it from
0:45-0:49: "Not Gonna Die!" 0:50-rest of the song: "Some kind of dubstep song.....(All the bass, holy crap)" Great post anyways! :D Love the band and all their songs! :D
It's weird but I got a question. Does Jen use playback sometimes? I can tell the slight different in her voice live here, but sometimes it sounds like it has the same quality from the album, like she's singing with the track. Just curious if she's just that perfect live.
David Burk nope! :/ I wanted to just have fun for most of the concert without worrying about keeping a camera straight. I got those 4 videos for you guys though (: (including Jen singing w/ third day)
i love skillet at least they have lives they sing and they are a religious group they are amazing they dont even care how they look some people sit at their houses and play video games all the time
GOD LOOKS ON THE INSIDE OF YOU, SO TO SAY YOUR HEART SO TAKE JESUS CHRIST HAS YOUR SAVIOR NOW!!! LOVE ALL OF YOU GUYS EVERYWHERE 777 JESUS LIVES FOREVER
Sadly, there is a growing trend with bands tracking bass. As a bassist for hire, it hurts my bottom dollar. It's hard to tell an artist that you're worth X amount per show when bands are looking at bassists as not being a necessity.
COMMENT OF THE YEAR! YES HOW CAN HE BE PLAYING WHEN HES POINTING TO THE CROWD? heck the bass is not even in his hands on this one CANT SUSTAIN CHANGING NOTES CAN YOU? I WOULD RATHER SEE SOMEONE ON STAGE PLAYING LIVE! YOU GO TO A SHOW FOR A LIVE PERFORMANCE
He usually plays bass on the older songs, and one of their techs plays backstage for the new stuff. He used to come out onstage when he played (At least he did when I saw them in 2009 and then 2011), idk what happened to that. I've seen them 6 times, it's still a killer show! I think it's different when you're actually there and in the moment, you know?
cboaz5050 oh hell yeah. I think I worked them 8 years ago..but now I want to go see them no matter what ..too bad only one usa show set up for rest of year and it's really far and expensive

skillet back in the day were great but since the arrival of jen ledger the band has gotten a milliion times better
From what I read.. Lori Peters (Skillet's previous drummer) taught Jen Ledger how to play drums. I do agree with you however specially how Jen shares vocals with John.
No am pretty sure she did not teach her and what Jen says in the interview how she started it wasn't by Lori
gbpackerfan85 no... Lori Peters did not show how Jen played the drums... look up Jen Ledger how she got in the band

i love the song but.....this bad quality just kake me feel bad sorry
I still think they should just go hire a bassist, John seems to enjoy just being the frontman w/o having to play bass.
Sadly, there is a growing trend with bands tracking bass. As a bassist for hire, it hurts my bottom dollar. It's hard to tell an artist that you're worth X amount per show when bands are looking at bassists as not being a necessity.

Sadly or Sad, indeed.
