I'm looking forward to your upcoming SJC spotting...my hometown! I can remember spotting there as a child in 1972. Man was that place different back then. They had no security and you could walk outside and go up 1 flight of stairs to an observation deck right on the apron. You could hear and smell everything. To this day the JT8D is my favorite sounding engine just from those childhood memories of hearing them.
@@CaptainStevenMarkovich PSA and Air California were the main patrons back then. As well as flights by United, American, Western, ,TWA, Hughes AirWest, National and Eastern. There were probably a few others I'm forgetting. As a chlid my favorite was Hughes Airwest...I loved that banana yellow DC-9 paint scheme with the purple logo. It was mostly 727 and 737 aircraft that flew in back then. Occasionally there would be a 707/720 from Western and every Friday afternoon a United DC-8 would land from Honolulu, then do a turn and head back. It towered over the terminal building and I remember thinking how enormous it was. I have to give thanks to my late father for taking me out there every Friday night for spotting for years!
Yes, I'm a little behind -- lol!! Nice compilation!! 👍✈✈👍
Thanks for watching 👍👍👍

When you said "Uh oh!" & I saw that white truck approaching, my first thought was that the cops had found you there too. 😂
Yes I’m on the most wanted list. Not a spotter friendly airport 👍

Hi Capt., I think the longest SWA flight is Phoenix-Honolulu.
