    @rodtompkinsmusic Hiya, thanks for the positive feedback, glad you liked Tom's demo - I'll certainly pass that onto him :).Yes, the Aux in will work with other instruments and it is looped.

    @pjmuck Hiya, Yes, you can definitely control many of the aspects of VoiceLive Touch via the Switch-3 footswitch or via MIDI. THe Switch -3 has several presets which are tailored to suit several common uses whereas there is also a full MIDI implementation list starting from page 28 of the VoiceLive Touch manual which can be downloaded for free via the TC-Helicon website.

    @concourselvis The VoiceLive Touch is designed for the singer to have control while performing live via a touch screen whilst the VoiceWorks Plus is a rack unit which makes it slightly more geared towards other settings - you could still use it live though and many people do. They are both fantastic products but each have a different approach.
    Maybe the best thing to do is try both units out at a dealer near you.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    How's the quantize feature? I want to successfully loop without a metronome. Does it pick up on the tempo pretty efficiently?

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  14 лет назад

    @ncheriyan Hiya, The USB Connector is used for connecting the VoiceLive Touch to a computer, for version updates and MIDI communication. Note that the USB
    connection does not provide power for the unit.

    @ncheriyan Hiya, The manual for VoiceLive Touch should be online for download mid September. I would recommend you wait until that's available as there is a lot of info to cover here. VoiceLive 2 still remains the most editable and powerful vocal processor on the market today. VoiceLive Touch is a completely different creature geared more towards looping, harmony and effects live via the touch screen.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  13 лет назад

    @pjmuck Hiya, Unfortunately the loops are not stored on power cycle and are erased when restarting the unit. However, your favourite presets and tweaks to that preset can be stored.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  13 лет назад +1

    @ozzy4416 Hiya, Simply set the key you're using (or use midi/guitar) and the notes will correspond to the closest note you are singing. HardTune is a more robotic sounding effect as found in a lot of current popular music whereas the subtle autchromatic pitch correction is more for polishing your general vocal sound. Check out the manual which is downloadable for free via the TC-Helicon website for more details.
    Best wishes,
    Joey

    @metatron1274 Hiya, One of the key features of the VoiceLive Touch is that you can easily mount the unit on your mic stand and use the touchscreen to change settings "on-the-fly" as opposed to tap dancing around a floor unit. When the optional Switch-3 is added you can control certain functions via your feet if you so desire.

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  14 лет назад

    @TheCorbomites Hiya, The inputs that you named can all be used for the generation of harmony voices. Also, you can use the midi inputs for this aswell! VoiceLive Touch supports all of these different types of harmony generation.The loop is only sent to the output so it is unable to be used for further processing within the unit - great suggestion though. I have forwarded this on to the TC-Helicon office on your behalf.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    @LightsOutMan Hiya, While you can get close to that effect by using the transducer effects and hardtune in the VoiceLive Touch - I would suggest that what you really need is a vocoder. You might be interested in checking out the VoiceTone Synth as it's excellent for these types of effects.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    @musicnewalbum HIya, The VoiceLive Touch actually has more editability for harmonies than the Harmony-M. There are several options in both products but basically the Harmony -M is designed to be the most simple to use and cost effective option for creating harmonies via MIDI. The manuals for both products are available for download via the TC-Helicon website - it may be worth having a look at these for more info on what each unit is capable of.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    @Bigduck1212 Hiya, The hardtune effect on VoiceLive Touch is directly comparable to the one found on Synth. The only difference with Synth is that it's the only TC-Helicon unit that has a Vocoder inside. If you really want vocoding then Synth is the one to go for. However, if it is the actual T-Pain effect you are after then this is only hardtune (not vocoding) and the VoiceLive Touch will do this without any issues whatsoever.
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    @molltophil Hiya, Yes - the VoiceLive Touch has several tone presets for automatic EQ and compression. Whilst they're not completely editable as on the VoiceLive 2 they are definitely suitable for most uses.

    @concourselvis Hiya, I may not be able to cover all of the points here - the best way would probably be to check out the manuals for both products via free download at TC-Helicon's website. However, here's a little info to get you started...

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  14 лет назад

    @djwinger2003 Hiya, If you're just after vocal effects and adaptive tone/eq/compression/de-essing and would be happy with some general tweaking options rather than specific editability then the Create XT is a great choice. It's simple, easy to use and designed for you to use your ears to tweak the presets to your liking. There are no harmony features.
    The VoiceLive Touch offers harmony, looping and a little bit of specific editability on key areas.

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  13 лет назад

    @revbrodiddley Hiya, Sorry, there's no leslie effect. However, you could possibly get close with modulation settings.

    @ntziDevs Hiya, Yes - the VoiceLive Touch contains all of the adaptive engineer effects (EQ, Compression, De-essing) as well as pitch correction.

    @RideHanna Hiya, Just a thought - have you enabled phantom power as you will need this for the microphone you're using. You can do this in the setup menu which is entered by pressing and holding the "mix" button.
    If this doesn't solve the issue then please don't hesitate to get in touch with TC-Helicon's support team.

    @metatron1274 Hiya, Unfortunately there is no tweakable parametric EQ in the VoiceLive Touch, however there are 10 tone styles that give variations on the amount of high frequency gain as well as the state of the adaptive gate.

    @concourselvis Hiya, For making the T-Pain / Cher effect you will need "Hardtune". This effect isn't available in the VoiceWorks Plus but it's definitely available in the VoiceLive Touch.

    @metatron1274 VoiceLive Touch is not genre dependant, there's certainally a host of effects that you'd find useful on a rock and roll gig! Do stay tuned, there's more videos to come which will reveal more of VoiceLive Touch's secrets.

    @concourselvis The VoiceLive Touch doesn’t have the same voice modelling ability as VoiceWorks Plus although it does have the ability to alter gender on the harmony voices. There are many differences between these 2 units which is mainly due to the fact that the VL Touch uses the new natural play algorithms as found in VoiceLive 2 and is a much newer unit featuring looping capabilities also.

  • @tchelicon
    @tchelicon  14 лет назад

    @mcs88keys Hiya, Yes you can connect both at the same time and define which one is to be used per preset. Basically you can set a preset as guitar and another as midi - this way it will know which one to use for which song. The VoiceLive 2 remains the most comprehensive product we do. However, it is really a choice of what you feel personally suits you and your needs. I definitely suggest trying both out at your local TC-Helicon dealer.

    hi! so i´m really keen on this wonderful touch pad!
    i want to ask this: concerning the harmony preset, how does it work, if ur not using an instrument to control the harmonies? Does the Touch detect automatically the note/pitch, and acompanies me along my singing?
    Or do i need an instrument, like say a keybord, to do such?
    i´m not that good of an instrumentist, so i was hoping the Touch would harmonize whatever i sing, without the need of a midi instrument..
    Thanks!!

    @JoelOlivaresMusic Hiya Joel, The VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Touch are completely different creatures and the VoiceLive Touch shoulkdn't be thought of as an upgrade to VoiceLive 2. The VoiceLive Touch features looping and the touchscreen and is designed with looping at the forefront.

    What is the midi implementation on this? I'm seeing a lot of stopping of the guitar playing to hand tap buttons in this demo, which definitely wouldn't work for me. Could some or all of that be avoided with a midi foot controller or will only the proprietary 3 button foot switch work?

  • @tchelicon

    @freeblade99 Hiya, Some users may prefer the "plug and play" approach to the way the Singles have been designed. It really depends on what the user feels most comfortable with and is certainly handy when you're after specific single effects rather than a "one box" solution.

    This looks like a cool product. I just bought a Voicelive 2 and while I like it, the floor aspect is making me rethink whether I want to get this instead. I am a keyboard player...I realize that with the footswitches are excellent for guitarists, but being a keyboard player, I am not too concerned about it.
    If the # of simultaneous effects and the types of effects are same as voicelive2, I might go with this instead.

  • @tchelicon

    @concourselvis Hiya, You're very welcome. The VoiceLive Touch doesn't contain the gender ability as contained in the C1. However, you're definitely able to make harmonies while retaining the hardtune effect. I would suggest you try out all your options at your local TC-Helicon dealer before making a final decision :).

    Great demo, Tom! I'm curious if the Aux input would be suitable for a digital piano or synth. Also, can the aux input be looped? It would be way cool to put in some loop layers with Rhodes, vibes, piano, whatever (voice, too) and then play/sing on top. Even without looping on the Aux input, I could do most of my solo gigs and leave the mixer home. I'd use the VoiceLive Touch to mix my digital piano and voice, the run the stereo out to a pair of powered speakers. I currently use a Harmony M.

    i read the manual on-line wrt looping. However, there is something that is not clear. If the total time for mono loops is 60 seconds, then how does that relate to overdubs (layers).
    For example, if you start a loop and then play/sing for 60 seconds - presumably that 60 second loop will play back forever if you want.
    Can you then add additional layers to that 60 second loop, or are you done at that point? ideally you could overdub as much as you want and then the loop just merges.

    and can i set, for example, C, Dminor and G, to use in one specific song, and recall them whenever i need them, just by touching a specific key on the Touch?
    would it take too much time to change the keys/scales that i require, or can i pre-set them like i would do with the effects??
    or maybe it would be easier to just get a tiny keybord to "play" the harmonies i am looking for??.. thanks for ur patience =)

    Can you use speakers with an USB port with VoiceLive Touch? What kind of microphone do you need? Can it be a 3.5mm microphone jack?

    And what about the loops? Are they non-destructive and can be stored or do they disappear once the unit's powered off?

    TCHELICON,
    What are the differences between Voicelive 2 Ver 1.2 and this? (Obviously Voice Touch is touch pad which is great with the 60 sec looping)...but what else does one have the other doesn't? (eg: do they both have the same number of simultaneous effects block, does Voice Touch have rhythmic effects from Ver 1.2 of Voicelive2, etc?)

    Wow - just got this two days ago and am starting to figure her out. Powerful! However, I'm not crazy about the manual. Is there anything else in PDF or otherwise that explains a bit more in-depth about the VoiceLive's capabilities and how to easily get to them?

      K West Hmm, we don't have any other print manuals but there is a series of videos that might help. ruclips.net/p/PL9D5078E14C27C946

    @micheledio123 Hiya, Gotcha. You could check out the VoiceLive 2 via TC-Helicon's website. You could also go for one of the single VoiceTone pedals (Harmony-G XT - guitar triggered harmonies or Harmony-M - Midi controlled harmonies... but neither of them include the gender changing feature).
    Best wishes,
    Joey @ TC-Helicon

    Hello,
    please could you tell me what's the best between a voice live touch and a voiceworks plus(weak and strong points from each of them)? Can we use any voicemodelling-like effects on the voice live touch?
    The prices are quiet the same between both !
    Thank you.
