Ohhhh the nostalgia, and how much I love this game. Only thing I hate is the battle system and some of the music. That being said, I feel like most reviewers take this game 100% seriously, which is why it usually gets low ratings. Neptunia is a PARODY. If reviewers would keep that in mind, this game would have much higher ratings.
the healing item system was my fav its the first game i ever played with a prediction system where in each turn of the battle you predict the amount of damage and change the % of what healing item to be used, although i never realized it until i was near the end of the game I've always wondered whether the 30% healing item was being prioritized than the higher % item was a bug when the higher was at 100% and the lower healing item had a 50% chance of activating
To be fair this game isn't perfect. I would give it a 6/10 at best. The writing is EXCELLENT and better than in Rebirth 1 even, but it has serious framerate issues, presentation is lacking and the game looks empty. The mechanics are nice and I love the Soundtrack and Story but I can absolutely see how one would end up giving it just a 4. It's not as refined as, lets say, Neptunia VII.
I can agree with most of this, but I think the battle system/maps were more unique than the other 3 games, how many other Neptunia games are exactly like this? I also liked the auto healing item system, its kinda like Atelier's auto healing system, without so much OCD item crafting and you can just simply set the percentages you want.
When i saw this intro on RUclips back in 2010 i never imagined this would be ported to the US. Let alone be the start of Compile Heart's most successful franchise. I still am amazed every time i hear a new game announced merely because this series is so widgety that i never believed it would sell.
Hyperdimension Neptunia - "Only on PlayStation" Compa suddenly makes Re;Birth years later... so much for the exclusivity. I wish people who got to play Neptunia firsthand from the Re;Birth ones would also experience the joy of playing these old ones. Hyperdimension Neptunia 1 and Mk2 had good OP songs due to 5pb but since Victory came, it all changed. Megadimension is an exception though. I really love the songs there as well, especially Katharsis.
Nah, more like the exclusivity of the *good* games. I've played Re;birth 1 and the original. Re is just really dumbed down. Good chunks of the plot are missing from it too. They should have ported the Ps3 original to 360. That could have fixed the frame rate issues.

I was amazed by how good this game actually is. I guess I was right to ignore negative comments from most people saying nonsense like "graphics worse than a ps2" or by people who hate moe/anime style anyway.
Yeah me too. I can't choose whether is PS3 or Re;birth intro are awesome. So, my opinion and decided is both of them because i don't have or hate bad negative. That's why i don't want to leave them alone. What about the spinoff games and crossover?
Kat Muss Yeah Re Birth 3 op is awesome, but to be honest all Nao songs are amazing. Even though I don't have the lyrics in front of me everytime to read what the song says, in some way it gives energy to smile even in the hardest moments... like mk2 opening kirihake gracie star.
Love this song so much, brought me to tears the first few times I listened to it :) The melody is so emotional and the lyrics are great as well, so much better than the generic stuff they play everywhere...

well. all i got to say to this game is that i want this game. im ok with the special edition one but the box it self should be cheeper. of course ign gave it a 6.0 and most ppl thinks how stylish the girls are or there HDD form looks. but the RPG battle looks stunning to me. i like it. sometimes i don't care how the girls looks or how cute they are. just like my reaction on the movie sucker punch. i just like the action of this game and the movie. and as well as the characters and the plot.
Actually that would be awezome; think about it, the players being like civilians that work for the goddess, doing quests and missions togheter with other players!. Or even the chances to get missions were you play togheter with one of the goddess to complet a mission. The whole plot in the game/anime would work perfect for such.
