Not only is he a musical genius, one of the best of our generation, he is incredibly kind and has such a gentle and inviting demeanor. I saw/met him in Austin last month and it is something I've wished for/looked forward to for the past ten years. He doesn't put on a performance or do the whole lights and dancing thing, he just plays beautiful music. As a conert junky, I can't stand the "performance" part of some shows. @@ImGayWhenISayThisBut long story, but I used to run in his circles and know why he walked away & had a really serious encounter with the Lord about it, repented for not following Holy Spirit this one night I had the opportunity to talk to him about what was going on & have been praying over him & getting very clear prophetic words & dreams for him ever since that have been confirmed by things he’s said in interviews, others who know him etc. These are some of the very real things I’ve seen in visions, dreams & encounters while praying for him. I don’t believe until he is 100% walking the lifestyle that he would call himself a Christian again, but I do strongly believe that he is well on the way to accepting who God has called him to be & stepping into that within his music. One of the things I prayed for was that he would let go of fear of man & turn back to fearing the Lord & if the propaganda episode about Matt’s recent album is anything to go by, this is happening. The last 4 years I’ve only had words that point towards repentance & healing. For Real is another excellent example from this last album of what I’ve prayed for along with this one.

I remember when he released Monday, although a great song from a musical standpoint, my heart dropped because it sucked for me to hear the lyrics and I’ve made prayers for him to return to Jesus. Obviously, I don’t know him personally so it’s not really a daily prayer I’ve made, but I have prayed a couple times for him to return to Jesus. So this is great to hear from someone who knew him on a personal level! When he released miracle love, I thought he may have kinda returned? But since the lyrics weren’t overtly Christian it was just hopeful optimism that he was finding his way back and wanting to have a hold of the love that Christ gives us once again. Last Easter Saturday I had a dream (it had a lot of symbolism from previous dreams & encounters I’d had with him) & when I woke up & was talking to the Lord about it, I believe he had to teach his eldest kiddo about the real meaning of Easter & since then I don’t believe he’s been able to deny the Holy Spirit working in his life. The next day I lead Homecoming by Bethel at church and was the biggest mess 🥹 There’s so much Christian symbolism in his music since Rainbow Valley AND I believe he felt led by the Holy Spirit to reach out the boys from Hollow Coves who are good friends of one of my nearest & dearest & love God dearly. The song they just released that Matty co-wrote gets me so teary & the joy in his face during the recording process that they filmed made me cry because I have never seen him that clearly free/happy. It gets me so emotional knowing the change since Telluric. Holy Spirit once spoke to me to put on that album & every lie I heard prophecy the opposite truth. There was already a distinct difference by RV. I cried for 3 days straight after hearing Monday coz I had so many people rip into me that knew I was praying for him but that only empowered me to sit with God more and talk to Him about what He wants for Matty. Back then I was praying for his safety, not even that he would return to Jesus because I felt the burden he was carrying & knew when I felt the call to prayer that it would literally be life saving (which he digs into in this song). The Monday tour broke my heart because he was so lost & hearing things over the years that he’s said from stage like, “I don’t know how many of you know this, but I used to be a Christian & when you’re a Christian you believe in God the Father, God the son & God the Holy Spirit & I have no way to tell you how I wrote this song other than Holy Spirit did it for me” then proceed to play Untitled which is literally straight out of Isaiah. You can’t make this stuff up. I feel like the way I’ll know that he’s back walking fully with the Lord is if he ever sings Kings, Queens, Beggers & Theives again - because that song is about David & I believe Matty knows deeply the impact of what would happen when he sings that. It’s all about the anointing! Anyway, I hope this gives you hope, not to give up prayer!! I’ll pray for a word for you later & add it here if I get anything!!

The last 4 years I’ve only had words that point towards repentance & healing. For Real is another excellent example from this last album of what I’ve prayed for along with this one.

I remember when he released Monday, although a great song from a musical standpoint, my heart dropped because it sucked for me to hear the lyrics and I’ve made prayers for him to return to Jesus. Obviously, I don’t know him personally so it’s not really a daily prayer I’ve made, but I have prayed a couple times for him to return to Jesus. So this is great to hear from someone who knew him on a personal level!
When he released miracle love, I thought he may have kinda returned? But since the lyrics weren’t overtly Christian it was just hopeful optimism that he was finding his way back and wanting to have a hold of the love that Christ gives us once again.
I pray for the prodigal son to return home once and for all. Would love to meet him in heaven!

Last Easter Saturday I had a dream (it had a lot of symbolism from previous dreams & encounters I’d had with him) & when I woke up & was talking to the Lord about it, I believe he had to teach his eldest kiddo about the real meaning of Easter & since then I don’t believe he’s been able to deny the Holy Spirit working in his life. The next day I lead Homecoming by Bethel at church and was the biggest mess 🥹 There’s so much Christian symbolism in his music since Rainbow Valley AND I believe he felt led by the Holy Spirit to reach out the boys from Hollow Coves who are good friends of one of my nearest & dearest & love God dearly. The song they just released that Matty co-wrote gets me so teary & the joy in his face during the recording process that they filmed made me cry because I have never seen him that clearly free/happy. It gets me so emotional knowing the change since Telluric. Holy Spirit once spoke to me to put on that album & every lie I heard prophecy the opposite truth. There was already a distinct difference by RV. I cried for 3 days straight after hearing Monday coz I had so many people rip into me that knew I was praying for him but that only empowered me to sit with God more and talk to Him about what He wants for Matty. Back then I was praying for his safety, not even that he would return to Jesus because I felt the burden he was carrying & knew when I felt the call to prayer that it would literally be life saving (which he digs into in this song). The Monday tour broke my heart because he was so lost & hearing things over the years that he’s said from stage like, “I don’t know how many of you know this, but I used to be a Christian & when you’re a Christian you believe in God the Father, God the son & God the Holy Spirit & I have no way to tell you how I wrote this song other than Holy Spirit did it for me” then proceed to play Untitled which is literally straight out of Isaiah. You can’t make this stuff up. I feel like the way I’ll know that he’s back walking fully with the Lord is if he ever sings Kings, Queens, Beggers & Theives again - because that song is about David & I believe Matty knows deeply the impact of what would happen when he sings that. It’s all about the anointing! Anyway, I hope this gives you hope, not to give up prayer!! I’ll pray for a word for you later & add it here if I get anything!!
@@storytimewithyaz That’s crazy, Kings, Queens, Beggars, and Thieves is one of my favorite songs not just from Matt, but any one/band ever and I never realized it was about King David.
Also another crazy side note, and you might find it weird but… I ended up snooping on your Instagram to scope out for any pics of you and Matt, didn’t find any. However, I did see a couple pics of a girl (Rikki)) who went to the same high school as I did, never spoke to her, but thought it was crazy to see your insta have pictures of someone I’ve crossed paths with.
