Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a Pakistani politician and lawyer who is widely recognized as the founder of Pakistan. He was born in Karachi, British India (now Pakistan) in 1876 and studied law at Lincoln's Inn in London. Jinnah returned to India and began his career as a lawyer in Bombay (now Mumbai).
Jinnah became involved in politics in the 1920s and was a member of the All India Muslim League, a political party that sought to protect the rights of Muslims in India. In 1940, he helped lead the League's demand for the creation of a separate Muslim state, which would eventually become Pakistan.
Jinnah served as Pakistan's first Governor-General after the country gained independence in 1947. He is remembered as a highly influential figure in the history of Pakistan and is often referred to as Quaid-i-Azam, or "Great Leader," in the country. Jinnah died in 1948, just a year after Pakistan's independence.

Jinnah miscalculated the future of Hindu Muslim relation in India in a monumental scale. He ignored the centuries old bond between the two communities. He thought Muslims in an undivided India will never prosper. His policy actually created the crisis for Muslims. Indian Muslims lost their numerical advantage when large Muslim population left for Pak. Muslims in Pak faced the same problem of a crony capitalist society as in India. Today Muslims in Pak remain in same condition as Indians. Big gap in rich and poor , lack of education etc. Instead if Jinnah was patient and was ready to compromise on power , the scar of partition would not have happened. Hate or or love it , the secular Indian political structure allowed a large number of Hindu intellectuals to create the nuts and bolts of Indian democracy which Pakistan lacked. In an undivided India these people would have made sure Hindu Muslims remain in friendship. Hindu-Muslim relation would have remained a lot better. Jinnah ignored all of it. It was a utter blunder.
Hindus who would not share dinning table would have shared power with Muslim? In Jinnah’s own reply to Gandhi Ji. Yes you are my brother but my brother you have 3 votes and we have 1.
All of what you have posted is ifs and buts. What we see today in India and Pakistan is reality. Muslims being beaten in India on small things is Indian democracy. And people of Pakistan under another colonization of its own army is failure of idea of Pakistan. Only if Muslims had worked hard they would have been successful. But Muslims don’t educate themselves. Its not anybody’s fault. So leave Jinnah and Gandhi alone and look into your own self. Otherwise stay like the way you are for another century.

Away from usual places of N India Muslims live much much happier than a Hindu in Pakistan. We don't have a blasphemy law like you. Today the main reason of hate politics in india is the violence during partition. And the main reason religious minorities in Pak are abused is Pak being a non secular country. Indian problem is not structural and can be easily cured with a new liberal govt. But in Pak it will never ever happen becoz the problem is structural. Muslims wold have had much more power in an undivided india than even in Pak today. When you are driven by fear you lose focus.

Cabinet mission had a clause that every 10 years states will get a chance to review their relationship with Union of India and if need be get selected. Patel decided that this may cause multiple partitions of India.
Yes and because of this clause, Jinnah accepted Cabinet Mission. He saw seeds of Pakistan in this plan.

Brother you're a good soul so I can understand your version of your QUAID . But as we all know nobody was saint during partition , neither Gandhi nor Jinnah or anyone else for that matter. Every coin has two sides but speaking about both sides is a very risky thing especially in Indian subcontinent because we easily deify our heroes . And then bearing criticism about him(especially in personal conduct) is out of question. But fact of the matter is that no mortal can be perfect. Anyway as usual you did a great job and may God bless you always. Kuch cheezain unkahi hi behtar hoti hain.

Jinnah wanted Pakistan to extract better bargain with Britain but eventually accepted moth-eaten Pakistan whose boundaries he had never envisioned. He never listened to any wise counselling from anyone wiser. Why did he accept the partitioning of Punjab resulting in millions of proud punjabis of all sorts slaughter and destruction of properties. His biggest blunder was to accept two very disintegrating units (bengal) and west Pakistan into the federation-a blunder which eventually broke up the country. Personally, very honest and a man of super integrity but stubborn to a fault. Contrary to common beliefs, he never wanted Liaqat Ali Khan as his PM. He wanted the Nawab of Bahawalpur or Nawab of Bhopal to be the first PM. He hid his terminal disease to perpetuate a bad end of the partition upon Muslims to see his few glorious days. Regardless, he invented the unending use of religious card which successfully his successors applied continuously to perpetuate their unending and miserably flopped rules.
Sorry to say you are wrong in most assumptions. Remember jinnah accepted cabinet mission which was short of partition but nehru jeopardised all this . Jinnah ènvisioned before hand the big massacre. By accepting cabinet mission he stepped back from partition. Even Abulkalam said the he will never reconcile with nehru's betrayal of not accepting cabinet mission. If time read jaswant Singh book on jinnah. For the first time I came to know that jinnah was not interested in making Liaqat Ali as prime minister do you have any proof?

Mr Jinnah was from a family which has recently converted to ISLAM . His name was mahmod ally jennahbhai Poonja . it was a short sightness of the leaders that so much bloodshed happened . Great Leaders are who those who protect there Land and people . The Punjab and northwest frontier always had a muslim majority even in india the muslim plurality would have existed
the problem was for Muslims living in areas where they were in minority who wanted political and religious parity .The Leaders could have negotiated some permanent interests for muslim community in a frame work which could have helped each other rather than killing and death dance that happened . I also feel the british played a major role in fanning communal flare up , the allowed mass killing to happen and kept aside because before 1946 no mass rioting had ever occured and british forces were always spoiling any mass rioting. i would like to point one interesting thing the british by 1900 had taken a census of india and they published details of population and religious figures which gave an idea that north western indian states or indus valley had a muslim majority you can check 1909 map published by britishers , by 1915 in first ww the british knew some day they have to leave india but definately they will not leave india intact to the indiana and will defiantely keep some influence here . The major clash between hindus and muslims started after 1920's . British were properly saw there was a fault line in india which could be exploited and collapse the whole region into chaos . They used this fault lines to there advantage and reslts are in front of us all .
