I also studied abroad in Japan, and that was my introduction to Licca. My host parents ended up gifting me one a few years later when I came back to visit, and I love her! She’s wearing a blue yukata that matches one that I have, so I joke that we’re twins

I love licca dolls! If you're looking for more articulation, it's common to re-body licca onto azone bodies! Generally the white skin tone is the most accurate!

I'm not sure if they are connected, but the main character looking very similar, and the names being practically the same, plus the series being called "Super Doll Licca-chan". I can't remember when I heard of Licca chan dolls. Probably in the early 2000s, and I had wanted one since. Some years ago I found 2 of them in a local 2nd hand shop! No clothes though but that didn't matter. One had some marker stains I was able to remove. But I'm still awed at how perfect their hair is, despite their age and travel. I want more fashion packs for them, but Japan still hasn' reopened mail to my country
