As a fellow fatty, I wouldn't expect every brand to cater to me. Like when I got to the mall, I know what stores to go to and which not to go to. I'm not going to stand outside those stores that don't have my size and make a scene. You have to cater to yourself. It's not other's responsibility. Plus 5X is super inclusive! Are we so quick to forget how things use to be?? Those sizes used to only exist at WALMART people!
I completely agree! And girl for me it’s so hard cause I’m fat and tall! So even when like forever21 would carry a 2x it’d be wayyy to short for me! So I’m like damn how can i expect all these brands to carry big and tall when that’s a rare body type! I just think sometimes ppl have to be a lil realistic, not everyone is being non-inclusive it’s just hard af to carry sizes for every single body type!
Saying that while there isn’t an option for most people. You are saying this being somebody that is applying a standard. Which other people are forcing onto people. I am tall. My whole life I’ve been very tall that makes it extremely hard for me to find clothing. It’s not fair that I don’t have more options. I can complain about that because I’m not the only tall woman on the planet just like when fat people complain. They are not the only fat person on the planet. Therefore there is a demographic in need. Stop trying to make people fit into a standard when we are all different.

@@Skelotim big and tall is not a rare body type. It is made to be shamed to the point where you are going to be be forced to be skinny. It is forcing a standard you dum ahh. If there was more options for people who are big and tall, whom do exist by the way. It’s not a small demographic that is you quite literally trying to whitewash people and force them into a standard.
@Mortifiedbird ok, but getting angry at a very inclusive line for not being inclusive enough is where the line needs to be drawn. We can do these things towards companies that have no inclusivity what so ever, not towards companies that are trying.

I agree 5x is super inclusive and being upset is a bit wild but we can critique their criticism of the sizing without being fatphobic, ya know?

I’m 5’9” 260lbs and when I did frank n furter a couple years ago I had to buy a 7XLcorset it still did what it needed to do but when I usually wear an XL shirt I felt so mortified buying a 7XL
So the sizing is completely off then right? Like all waist trainers/corsets tend to run on the smaller size?
@ that’s what I assumed and I never wanted to buy a corset again after that so I honestly haven’t tried any other brands to know much of a difference…I genuinely thought that because of them running smaller they’d have to go into larger sizes I’m not used to seeing
So like when people say 5x corset my brain thinks “oh they must wear a Large for shirts bc I wear XL and had to buy 7XL”
@@DannyyFandom I typically wear a US 8 dress size and I own a corset that’s labeled a 3X that squeezes me like a glove lol. I don’t begin to understand how that sizing works 🤣

4:35 I’m a lil bigger, always have been- and you have me CHUCKLIN!!! 😂😂😂 In my humble opinion, we can’t expect every brand to cater to us! I am 51 years old and I remember being young and having to go to the “old lady stores” with my mom to shop for clothes, or Bradlees Kmart or SEARS! (We have it GOOD now!) If a business doesn’t want to make clothing in your size, communicate with your dollars and take your money and your business ELSEWHERE!!! If they don’t care, they don’t care. ❤❤❤
OK, but that’s really crazy. Five XL is one of the most inclusive sizes I’ve heard of in forever and that’s coming from someone who wears a two XL and bottoms and extra large and tops. And as is, my sizes are either always the first gone or very limited quantity of anything is available for me people need to get so real because not to be shady but is a five XL even getting out of bed 🫠 because once we hit the 600 pound range mobility is limited realistically

Passing 5XL is point blank unhealthy ‼️ That is pushing it, we humans are not meant to neglect our health like that. Unless you have a serious health condition, I believe wearing a corset while being that big is enabling unhealthy behaviors and ignoring the bigger picture, but ey that's just me.
I completely agree i just think it sucks in todays society that is considered “fatphobic” but coming from someone who was 300lbs and still is considered obese i dont take offense to it, its the truth 🤷🏻♂️
@@Skelotimwhen I did ED recovery I had to face the fact that I was fatphobic. I was so scared of gaining weight I was willing to get sick as heck to be thing. Fatphobic encompassing literal fear but also “the size range is only 4xs-5xl” is WILD.
I used to work at Fashion Nova and the clothes we had to mark down the most was the 2x-3xl. no one was actually buying it. that is obviously just one retailer and my experience.
like daus’ brand just goes to show that people will complain no matter what. A LOT of brands don’t even go up to XXL, daus is TRYING and it’s such a great step in the right direction! and i agree, your size gets to a point where you should start rethinking your lifestyle and overall health

I’m not offended.. I’m v small.. but I think it’s just for the look… I’m so sick of everyone so offended by sizing.. I’m with Leo on this.. I was fat a year ago and unhappy.. and I got my ass in the gym and worked the weight off until I was comfortable to buy clothes again. It’s so simple.

Hey Tim! Love your channel! I am not offended by your question. I am 5'1" and obese. I wear a 3XL in women's sizes. I unfortunately carry most of my weight around my stomach. I am shaped like a potato with no butt and surprisingly toned legs. LOL Corsets don't do anything for me and just make it hard to move and sit down that's why I don't wear them. I have only tried one on like once or twice. It isn't going to move my fat so much that it is going to go to my butt and thighs. Same goes for fajas and Spanx. I mostly wear those to smooth out my fat lines when wearing dresses. Also because of my body shape I don't wear form fitting dresses. I think for people who carry most of their weight in their butt and thighs can use a corset to give them a more flattering hour glass figure. However, I don't know how it looks on a 5XL person.
One thing annoys me. I can call myself broke....but no one else lol. Even if I am, I dooo spend the coins for whatever I DO think is worth the price lol.

Corsets are extremely structured, everyone of every size should have them custom made but especially if you are plus size because everyone holds weight differently and has different goals with the corset. there are also different corset patterns for different shapes.
Im an xl and sometimes you have to be with real yourself and understand not everything is going to be flattering.
I agree we have to be self aware about our size & how the world can’t always accommodate to it. Corsets are meant for both slimming & shape purposes, but if you are too big it’s not going to be able to hold everything together & make a silhouette that’s not there or not possible.
And exactly like you said when you hit that weight and things started changing for you and you needed accommodation for your seatbelt and you checked yourself the thing is everyone has the choice to control their body weight, maintain it or make changes to it so if you know that what’s offered is not going to work for you no one is responsible for catering to your body and I feel like that’s something that a lot of people forget like you can go to the gym or be the fattest person on earth. The choice is yours you make your life choices if you wanna make your life difficult. You can’t expect everyone in this world to change things for you.

I haven’t seen the sizing chart, but my guess is a five XL is pretty much your size. But yeah, there’s plenty of inclusive course tree brands. You just have to kinda hunt for them

I let my self go just so my family in-law will stop saying I was cheating on my now husband and looking back I regret it so much they still don’t like me they criticize me more now that I’m plus size and now I’m over here fighting with all this extra weight 😢 and I feel so uncomfortable with my body now who is over here fighting feeling so comfortable fighting more than 5XL that’s not ok mentally and health wise either 😬

Honestly, I think that people are hopping on the inclusive bandwagon because that rapper chick has a lawsuit started because that Lyft driver said that she could not get in his car. You already know when one person feels some type of way. All the sudden everybody else is sensitive to the subject too. When 5 minutes ago they were probably laughing at some random person they saw cuz they were overweight.
hes like 90 pounds soaking wet. As for corset sizes without looking them up, chances are they are vanity sizes so they run small. If your normally a xl you may need to size up a couple sizes. (Again i havent looked at them.) so blanket statements “but we are inclusive with 5x and you look at the measurements it doesnt compute.

I don’t get why people would be offended. I think it as women who don’t carry so much of their weight in their waist it is other places plus you know how people have these certain types of jobs and people like to see women in corsets and I really don’t know how to explain it but some people Might have at home jobs that they do online and maybe they might like to wear them for those purposes or some people just like to wear them I mean, I could see a bigger size person wearing them. I wear a two XL and personally I wouldn’t wear them because most of my way is carried in my stomach so it wouldn’t look flattering on me. Plus, I don’t like to be uncomfortable.
